Best Restaurant

My dad and his wife are going to Disney next week for his birthday. They want a nice restaurant to celebrate at. The last time I was in Disney (2001) I recall a really nice Italian restaurant in Downtown Disney. Anyone know that name? Is that still the best? Anything else? Thanks!

Italian? There are a couple Italian places but they are mostly pizza places. Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen or the House of Blues are there. In DCA there is the Wine Country Tratatoria, I've never eaten there but it looks good, there is the Napa Rose in the Grand Californian Hotel, Yamabuki (japanese cuisine) in the Paradise Pier hotel, in DL there is the Blue Bayou inside the Pirates ride......

If they really want Italian there's a Bucca Di Peppo down the street (harbor), it's family style so the portions are large and shared.....

I believe that would be Naples Ristorante e Pizzeria. It's very good, and nice for formal occasions. If you want a more down-to-earth, casual place, then check out RFC (Rainforest) or the ESPN zone. There are also places at the Anaheim Garden Walk, like Cheesecake Factory, Bubba Gump, PF Changes, and more.

Naples has a lot of good, authentic Italian food (and generously-sized pizzas). Wine Country Trattoria in DCA has good Italian food. I also love Rainforest Cafe and ESPN Zone. I hear Steakhouse 55 in the DLH is good. Napa Rose is fine dining. People love the Blue Bayou in DL. Lots of choices!

Depends on what they're looking for. The nicest restaurant in the place is Napa Rose in the GCH, but it's also staggeringly expensive. DD13 and I ate there at the chef's counter and it was fabulous-- I have been to a lot of fine restaurants, and this was really wonderful.
