We love a good macaroni and cheese. Nice and comforting! In your opinion, where can we find the best?

Wolfgang Puck Express CS

In the past, we have LOVED the mac and cheese from WPE~ however, the last time we were there, they had changed it. It was more like an alfredo sauce rather than a cheesey sauce and it really lacked the flavor it once had. We were really disappointed. Just be aware that it's a white creamy sauce here now (at least when we had it).

Haven't tried the one at Chefs but just got back last night & believe it or not, our kids loved the mac at CMC. Go figure :confused3

DS17 said it was just real good comfort food.

I've had the one at Chefs, yuck! The noodles were starchy and I think it was made w/ a gruyere, which I normally love, but it didn't work w/ the dish. I don't know why, I've used gruyere at home and it was wonderful. Mac and cheese is so easy to make, I would never order it at a restaurant. The only reason I tried it at Chefs was that my cousin ordered it and insisted I try it...gross. She can't cook so thinks any mac and cheese is good. Medium white sauce...half as much as cooked noodles...cheese, your choice, cut in chunks, half added to white sauce and melted, other half stirred into noodles and sauce. Bake at 350, stir every 10 minutes or so to disperse cheese globs. You may want to pour on a little extra milk or half and half before baking, also add a bit of mustard powder and a small amount of Tabasco to white sauce. I like a mix of cheese, cheddar, some jack, a little parm, gruyere, whatever I have really. Some people like breadcrumbs or tomatoes on top, or chunks of ham added. Get the duck or lamb at Chefs.

The WPE one changed to a very watery alfredo with a very strong flavor or nutmeg in it...it's horrible.
However, the manager at the WPE at the marketplace location said anytime i go in there (we are regulars) to just let her know that i want the old mac and cheese and SHE WOULD MAKE IT!
The last time i was in, she went into the kitchen and grabbed a pan and made me some ooey gooey fresh made amazingly delicious mac and cheese with her own two hands.
She's wonderful!

I have not gone to the westside location and asked.

Most of the kids meal mac and cheese and counter service mac and cheese is like the microwaved stouffers stuff....i find it kinda gritty and no flavor and very poor texture.

I did not care for the Mac and cheese at chef's. I really wish I would have had the croque monsieur instead. I really liked the mac and cheese at Jiko but it is no longer on the menu with the filet which is a shame.

Wow! Now that is Disney magic!

california grill :) it's not on the menu---you have to ask! i normally sub it for a side/or both sides with the filet!

You can still order it. :) We just had it last week and it was very good. I couldn't get the BBQ Chicken Flatbread -- that's gone! They have another one that's really good. And I really enjoyed Boma's mac and cheese. :goodvibes

Best that I have had was at Shula's, as a side dish. Not sure if it is always on the menu, but that night they were featuring lobster mac-n-cheese. It was great.

I think that the mac-n-cheese at Chef's is pretty good, but it is not "traditional" mac-n-cheese with elbow macaroni. So if that is what you are looking for, you would be in for a surprise. My DD had is two weeks ago and liked it, but she thought that it would have benefitted from a shaving of truffle, or a drizzle of truffle oil. I'd have to agree.

Jiko (but order it on the side.... if you get the filet, at least try the risotto they have with it because IT'S FANTASTIC!), Artist Point, and Yachtsman Steakhouse.... ate all three versions this weekend, and still can't decide which one is back on top of my favorites list!

I added a side of mac and cheese to my dinner at Le' Cellier. I really enjoyed it, I don't know how it compares to other places but I thought it was tasty!

Love Les Chefs...it is not a traditional American Mac and Cheese..It uses Gruyere and nutmeg in it

Artist Point!
