When my youngest turned 1 we had dinner reservations at Whispering Canyon. My oldest (then 7) mentioned it to the server. We didn't think anything of it - she was turning 1! lol We just liked the restaurant. Well, after one of the Pony things with the kids, the server stands by our table and asks all the boys under the age of 10 to come up to him with "something - any ole thing" from their table. He then announces dd's birthday, the restaurant breaks out in song and he tells all the boys that they can now kiss the birthday girl and give her their "present". The look on some of the boys faces was great! The extra chair at our table (we're a party of 5 at a table for 6) was piled with the most random things. Some boys did kiss her head, some just left their "present" on the chair, and others turned tail and ran back to their table. The server then brought out ice cream dishes for the 3 girls.
It was so random, and so much fun. We laughed so hard, and my oldest (now almost 15) STILL talks about it, though neither of her sisters remember it at all. (They were turning 1 and almost 2)
Disclaimer - we haven't eaten at Whispering Canyon since 2007?2009? and the antics are never reliable. But choose a meal you'll enjoy whether or not something extra happens.
