Our 180 day mark is on Friday and want to find good seafood to book whilst we are there as we love seafood!

What are your recommendations?

The buffet at Cape May Cafe was very good and reasonably priced. The dishes are not very adventurous, but were properly cooked and there was a nice variety. The beef was outstanding too!

Agreed. We love Cape May.

We've never been but I've heard nothing but rave reviews about Boathouse.

Flying Fish without a doubt. you can go from safe to adventurous and all are very well done.
Coral Reef has an amazing view of the aquarium, but the food is average at best.
Have not tried the buffet at Cape May, so can't comment.

Another vote for FF as it has an amazing setting, professional service, and the food to match. Save room for dessert...this time it's worthy.
Other possibilities are M. Paul's for that beautiful looking fish filet covered in potato scales or the escargot appetizer; Yorkshire County's fish and chips; Artist Point's salmon (haven't eaten here yet but hear great of it); any of the Japan Pavilion's restaurants offer amazingly light and non greasy shrimp tempura as well as sushi; Boathouse's raw bar; Tiffin's fried whole fish and Chefs de France has some lovely sounding gifts from the sea offerings.

I'm sure I've missed some places, LOL.

The crab legs at Cape May are always a draw for me and they have a rotating list of other items on the buffet as well.

Bluezoo, Boathouse, and Flying Fish are all favorites of ours.

I agree.

When some people say that they like seafood, they mean fried seafood - in that case, I would look at the Garden Grove at the Swan for their weekend (Thursday /Friday /Saturday) seafood buffet (Dining Plan not accepted).

It somewhat depends on what you are used to as far as "good seafood" goes. Are you from the northeast and expecting good cold-water fish from the Atlantic? If so, you'll be disappointed.

Flying Fish

VERY correct - for what I refer to as "FISH fish" - something that swims, with scales :).

Now - a lot of folks love seafood... but what TYPE? "FISH fish", or "SHELL fish" (lobster, clams, crab, mussels, etc).
BEST lobster at WDW is at an unlikely place - Shula's :). Another Shellfish option is Paddlefish, though we personally believe their offerings have degraded since the days of Fulton's.

Just us - we really would LOVE it if Flying Fish expanded their SHELL Fish Menu :). Barring this, I continue to bug Shula's to start offering serious CRAB :).

It's nice to hear so many good reviews for Flying Fish. This has been a favorite of ours for many years and we were considering going on our trip in December, but many of the reviews on allearsnet.com are negative. Some are from a while ago. Adding it back to our short list :D
