Best restaurant for picky adults?

I am travelling to Disney's magic lands in a couple weeks with two extremely picky and demanding adults. They are very nice, just extremely concerned with the quality and presentation and ambience of their meals. (needless to say, none of us have ever had children and we have not developed the flexibility which that requires)

I'd like to direct them to the very best dining experience (taking all aspects of dining into account) which they can have, and would prefer that it be either in the hotels or the kingdoms, not in Downtown Disney or Boardwalk, although I would consider the latter if you feel strongly the best places are there.

Please advise . . . Thank you

Recommending "the best" is such a matter of personal taste, I don't know how much valueable information you will be able to garner!

The Yachtsman's Steakhouse is quite nice for beef and service. It has a good wine list and the desserts are pretty unique too! It does provide an all round good dining experience.

Citrico's and Narcoosee's, both at the GF offer good selections and service, with Citrico's edging out Narcoosee's for both service and ambience.

California Grill at the Contemporary is another good place for all round quality.

For unique and wonderful food, try the offerings of Chef Annette Grecci Gray at Jiko in the AKL.

There is always the ubiquitous Victoria and Albert's, perhaps your party would enjoy the Chef's table there.

Venture off site and visit either one of Emeril's restaurants. Emeril's at City Walk offers fabulous selections and the most perfect service you will find any where. No exaggeration. His newest Tchoupchop is a testament to Polynesian style cooking and flavors. Again, a beautiful place with impeccable service, but the menu is pretty specific.

If all else fails, go to Manuel's on Twenty-eighth! ;)

I think your friends would be pleased with Victoria and Alberts, Citrico's, Jikos, or the California Grill.
Other good bets--Palio (Italian), Shulas or Yachtsman Steakhouse for steak.
All of these are in the Resort Hotels, and Mrs. Uncleromulus and I have been to each a # of times.

What hubby and I consider to be the very best on Disney property...(we are now childless...had them, they are grown so now we play)...

Victoria and Alberts at the Grand Floridian
Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge
Flying Fish at the Boardwalk
Alfredo's, San Angel Inn, Chefs de France, Marrekesh, Askerhaus in World Showcase/EPCOT. We also love Bergarten...it is a buffet, show starts at approx 1pm. The food is delicious and atmosphere wonderful...didn't know if you wanted buffet style.

Lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern is wonderful.
Breakfast at Fresh in the Dolphin is a very nice treat.

We have never really been impressed with CA grill...it gets mixed reviews...but, I am not sure if the reviews are mixed with the over excitement of seeing the fireworks while you are eating.

My other suggestion would be to hop over to the Royal Pacific Resort in the Universal resort area and go to Tchoup Chop, lunch or dinner..need reservations well in advance.

Many thanks for these interesting responses, I really felt I needed some guidance here and appreciate hearing from you. Looks like I have some terrific choices for my friends to chose from. Thank you.

The Plaza Restaurant has some great sandwiches and wonderful desserts. Standard type foods, not artsy-fartsy foods.

Hello Madison, WI:

You remind me of myself (before children!)....FYI, there's only two Five Diamond AAA eateries in the Orlando area...

a) Victoria & Albert's in the Grand Floridian
b) the fine dining restaurant in the Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes (off WDW property)....just opened but trust me, will soon to be 5 diamond when rated (as most RC's restaurants are)...usually called just simply "The Dining Room" or "The Restaurant"

Service impeccable, food exquisite, ambience perfect...the surprising thing I think that people notice if you visit GF and the RC back to back is how phenomenal the Ritz Carlton organization is for offering the ultimate in guest service, comfort, and luxury.

My suggestion is you check out the exact menu's at Allearsnet.com to see what they currently have as entrees and selections. My mil comes to WDW with us and she is also someone that is very picky. This has helped us a lot in knowing generally what is offered.

My theory is that is not going to go well.

Keep in mind that at ALL of the park resturants there will be kids and probably at least one set won't be behaving up to the standards I see coming. I would stick to the resorts and I wish you luck.

California Grill should do it. I eat here every visit. Presentation is great and the food is a delight.

I would suggest the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club.

I know you would prefer not to send them to DTD, but I would also suggest Fulton's Crabhouse, especially if they enjoy seafood. The seafood bisque soup is a meal itself!
