Headed to WDW for a mom/trip. My son is 7 almost 8 in November when we go. Trying to gear this trip toward things he likes. He's a good eater and somewhat adventurous. I have us booked for Tusker for dinner. WE only have 5 days. Trying to stay away from more character meals. Any suggestions? I'm thinking about Coral Reef. Not sure if we will go to Disney Springs or not. Main focus is the parks.

I think Sci Fi Dine In is one of the more fun restaurants. Actually IMHO that one is good for any demographic. (Atmosphere tends to be more special than the food).

My boys LOVED Sci Fi dine at HS. Honestly it was the most peaceful meal we had on the entire trip, and the one restaurant my kids specifically asked for on our trip this year.

For your Epcot Day, I would definitely steer towards Teppan Edo instead of Coral Reef! Haven't been hearing great things about Coral Reef's food quality lately, and if your boys haven't been to a hibachi grill, they would probably think it's a lot of fun! Sci-Fi Dine-In is also a great option, as other posters have recommended!

In 2017, I went to WDW with my (then) 7 year old nephew. Sci Fi Dnner was his favorite restaurant hands down. There were tears in his eyes when he saw all the cars in the "parking lot". He also enjoyed Tusker House. He was not impressed with the Coral Reef (which my Mom thought he would love).

I agree with the anove posters that SciFi would be a hit with most 7 yr old boys. T-Rex in DS would be a great choice as well. Have fun!
