I'm looking for imput for my DD's 1st b-day dinner. We have done Chef Mickey's several times and were wondering if there is anywhere else that would be special?

Thanks,
Jenny

what about one of the pooh meals? We have done Crystal Palace and the characters were wonderful. Depending on the date of your trip however, the pooh characters could be at Tony's while the CP is down for rehab. I think the pooh gang would make for wonderful 1st birthday pictures!!

Thanks for the suggestion. We will be going in February so the Crystal Palace will be open.

I think the Crystal Palace would be PERFECT!!!!!

Try to get an earliest seating PS (8:05am)- call exactly 60 days out at 7am. Maybe the CM's can arrange something special. Make sure to bring her a birthday crown.

You will be able to get great pictures of her in front of the Castle and probably get on the first Dumbo ride of the day!

Plan an early hotel break, so she doesn't get over stimluated and then head back to the parks in the evening.

A Happy Birthday to the little one!

My vote is for the Land's Garden Grille... Do the Ice Cream Social at 3:00!

It is quiet, pricate and you get one on one time with Mickey, Chip & Dale without interruptions from other kids. You will ba able to focus on her without competing for attention from the surroundings.

Then... you may have a special dinner somewhere else!

Ice Cream with Mickey! What could be better!

Have a great time!

Thanks for all the great suggestions! I really look forward to celebrating my DD's birthday at WDW!

I totally agree! It's a really fun but not overwhelming atmosphere. Some of my favorite WDW memories are from taking my dd there at 15 mos.

We celebated our dd's 1st bday at WDW last yr. A word of caution she was terrified of the characters. We had breakfast at Breakfastosaurus and I went to get some food and I heard her screaming at the table because Mickey came by to say hi;) She sat on my lap the entire meal not letting go. We did do 1900 Park Fare for breakfast on her bday. That went much better. It helps that there are face characters. She still didn't want anything to do with Pooh. She got a birthday cupcake and Alice came over to sing happy birthday with all of us:D We went to 'Ohana's for dinner. My grandmothers bday is the same day and they came over from Tampa. We had a great time and they sany Happy Birthday. BTW she was still a little unsure about the Characters this past July. She did try to offer Pooh a bit of her muffin, albiet from a distance:D Have a great time celebrating!

I hope to condition my dd for the characters. I plan on playing a few videos for her prior to our trip. Her first trip will be this October when she is 9 months old. Hopefully our trip over her 1st birthday will go well. I'm looking forward to getting some good pictures of her 1st b-day with the characters for her scrapbook.

My four year old was the exact opposite. She loved all the characters except for the characters with a face. She is still a little unsure about the princesses.
