We'll be celebrating my nephew's 13th bday while there in November. Before I knew this, we made an ADR for O'hana that night. Which restaurant would he enjoy for this big event? (11 of us total)

As far as ambiance for a restuarant and a 13 year old boy I immediately thought of Sci Fi as it has the huge drive in screen constantly playing old sci fi movie clips and you eat in cars. It's pretty neat, however, the food is just average nothing outstanding.

Actually I think Ohana would be a nice choice for dinner. I am assuming you want a nice sit down meal? There are also many choices at EC to consider too. I have heard nice things about the restaurant in Italy and of couse LeCellier is good but depending on when your trip is....you might not get a ressie for that many people. There are the buffet places like Chef Mickey's and Cape May's too. I am thinking Ohana might be the perfect place actually. Or what about the Coral Reef???? That might be cool!!

I would take him to Prime Time or WCC.

How about the ESPN restaurant? We will also have a 7 & 5 yo in the dinner party and I'm not sure if it's a 'kid' restaurant. I think the 13yo will enjoy it though.

I think it would also depend on the kind of food he would like. I have 14 year old girls and they would love to go to Chef Mickeys, but that might not appeal to a boy. My girls also like Spoodles on the Boardwalk.

The Rainforest Cafe at DTD (or AK) is a big hit also. You don't have to go in the park to go to either of these.

You may want to look at menus here and see what sounds good:'

I would think Coral reef would be a good choice. It's a really cool atmosphere but not girly. I went with two 13 year old boys a few years ago and they weren't WOWed by any place we went (jaded teenagers! lol), but they DID enjoy looking at the tanks and got a little excited by it!

I'm definitely in the Coral Reef camp, but your comment about cost sort of pushes that one off to the side.

How about a walk up at Beaches and Cream and splurge for the group to have the Kitchen Sink. That would be memorable and cool for a 13yo boy. He will want to say "we finished the whole thing" when he tells the story to his buddies. Since they don't take ADRs and your group is large I'd probably go right when they open so you can get seats near each other.

After lunch you can go play mini golf at Fantasia! Riding probably wouldn't be the best next activity, though he probably wouldn't mind telling that story either, yuck boys. :lmao:

Another thought: Marrakesh in Morocco, he's probably ready to appreciate the belly dancers. :lmao: It isn't cheap and not sure if the food would appeal.
