best resort

this will be our first time staying at a resort in Disney World. Any suggestions as to which would be the best? We have a 13 year old and ten year old girls.

Are you talking about a regular resort or a DVC resort? SSR is right near DTD which has shopping and Disney Quest. BWV and BCV are right near Disney's Boardwalk area (ESPN Club, lots of nightime entertainment on the BW) which is fun for everyone at night. All three mentioned have nice pools/slides.

Any suggestions as to which would be the best?

This is like asking what brand of automobile does someone like. You will get many different answers based on their many different life perspectives. You mention your daughters, but we don't know your other tastes, likes and dislikes. Research the various resorts thoroughly on this site (link above) and on the Walt Disney World site. Then, should you have specific questions, we will be more than happy to answer what we can. This is why we like DVC. There are many different styles, themes and choices for everyone to enjoy.

Easy, for us we love BWV I have 3 Daughters DD13 DD12 DD11, and they just love the excitement of all the activity that is always going on- on the boardwalk, we come home form the parks at night and we can still hang out on the Boardwalk . Plus you can't beat the location you can boat to Epcot or walk to Epcot and boat to MGM

That is very much a personal like or dislike. For example, some here have said Boardwalk or Beach Club, and yet OUR favorites are Old Key West and Animal kingdom Villas. It depends on if you prefer something in the middle of the action where you might have to walk to two of the parks or somewhere that is a destination within itself or a good place to relax after the hub bub of the parks. We don't know what time of year you are planning on, and that too can make a big difference in the answers you will get.

Beach Club is great for kids. DS loved the Storm Along Bay pool complex. DS probably would have spent the whole vacation there if we let him.

Then you'll go again and try another....and another....and so on...and so on...
