Best resort with small kids....POP or PORS?

POP definitely !!! POR is nice from what I have seen.( having not stayed there yet just visited ) We stay at POP most stays and our son ,5 at the time, really loved all the oversized statues and the pool with the water shooting up out of it was great . It is centrally located to most things and has its own bus, doesn't share with others. Rooms were nice and we like the 60's buildings for local . By far our favorite resort, last trip was All Star Sports due to free dining, but POP for next trip! Have fun hope this helps!

POR will give you a little more space, and queen beds. Also, a sit down restaurant, and pool slide. Not sure if all that is important to you. It would help to know the ages of your kids. POR ha royal themed rooms and any little girl would love that theming over POP, IMHO.

We have stayed at POR and have visited POP and both have their good points. POP has a great food court.

I would pick the resort that has the theming that appeals to me. Will you be spending a lot of time at the resort? If not, then I'm go with POP to save a bit of money.

Thanks so much!! Our kids are 6,4, and 2... All girls :)) We stayed at the wilderness lodge last August because we got such a great deal! We were looking to save some money this time around!!

I have stayed at both and I would have to go with POR. You will have a little more space for a family with 3 kids and I love having a queen instead of a double bed. My girls loved the mansions. We haven't stayed in a Royal Room, but I am sure that would be a big hit. When we stay at POR, we usually take the boat to DTD for dinner, which is also fun for the kids.

That said, Pop would be good too. The theme is fun and definitely kid friendly.

Then you must do a Royal Room at POR!!
The extra room, and bigger beds plus the boat to DtD will be great for your family. :thumbsup2

POR as well; our 2 daughters loved the resort. Weren't crazy about POP, they kept comparing things to POR & wishing we'd stayed there instead. Of course now they are older & it's the Beach Club that is their favorite. :confused3

just got back from our trip, last time we stays at POP this time at POR, even though POP was great, we LOVED POR. the rooms seemed bigger and the theme was great. They have activities at the main pool which all the children seemed to enjoy, play a movie at night, boat ride to dtd. Port Orleans gets my vote, but honestly you can't go wrong.

I am very particular about where I stay. Have been all over the world and have seen it all. I have to say, for a budget hotel, POP wins hands down over, what I call, "the vacation from hell" we had at PORS. At PORS we encountered: 2 large food orders spoiled from a refrigerator not working properly, putting ice in tub to keep items cold. a manager that LIED to us, a LONG walk from our room to the food areas (thus not filling our refillables), no "line" to get on the buses which caused disorder, desk personnel who, when asked for a refigeratot temperature knob (when stating I PROMISE I won't freeze the regrig) replied, "Yea right". I also felt like I was camping. Every night we had a COCKROACH ELECTRIC LIGHT PARADE in the bathtub! Of course they sent someone out who said "I don't see nothin'" The pools are eh if not the main pool which is a tad better. AT POP, no problems at all and everything was done ligically, calmly, and in an organized manner. I know others will say PORS is great. I wouldn't stay there if it was free.:furious:

I've booked at POR this trip coming and we stayed at POP last time. We have a 2 year old as well as the other 2 kids this time so we felt POR would give us extra room. Sharing a bed with our 2 year old (as she likes to do some nights ) will work out much better on a queen bed. I am worried I made the wrong choice but most I've read sounds good.

our vote is for POP also....stayed at POR last month and after 3 nights asked to be moved to POP. We don't use the sit down, my kids don't care if there is a slide or not either. We found the food court at POP had more to choose from and it was larger than POR. Buses were better from POP than POR also!
