Best resort to stay at over NYE

DW and I are looking to stay in the world over NYE, but wanted some input over best place to stay. Let's assume that I can get any resort at the 7 month mark (big if , but let's just roll with it). We were think about BLT because of being able to see MK at night, but I did not know if there was another place that was magical over the holidays that I did not think of. We are both early 30's with no kids.

I just called for a 12/23-12/30 studio and all that was available was SSR and OKW. Good luck.

definitely BLT - would add BCV and BWV - some of there rooms would be seeing the fireworks at Epcot.

if you go with BLT (assuming in 2011/12) would go to TOWL to see the fireworks at MK.

I'll always pick BWV or BCV because MK has fireworks on the 30th and then on the 31st, you'll have your pick of DHS or Epcot, both of which you can walk home from. Or in the case of DHS, at least you don't have to go on roads to get home. We'll at BWV this year!

If you plan on being there a few days, you just might be at multiple places if you can get anything. I'd bet you will have difficulty finding something for 12/31. We did stay at CBR and the Dolphin for one night (12/31) on prior trips - (1) to save points, (2) to be able to be close to both Epcot and DHS.

For last NYE I put in a waitlist for one night in November 09. The first CM I spoke with was grouchy about it, but reluctantly put it in for SSR and Kidani (I was thinking lots of potential availability). Well the waitlist came through for SSR and MS had to speak with me because I was borrowing points for the one night stay. This CM was much more upbeat and suggested I waitlist for BCV and BWV saying "it's only one night -- you never know." And guess what? We got a BWV studio (preferred view of course) for 12/31/09.

I love the fireworks at DHS, and this was perfect for us. So here's for your stay.
