Hi all! I hope I'm not recreating a thread that exists - I searched and couldn't find anything.

I am potentially going to WDW for a weekend with 4 of my girlfriends in January. Should be a blast, but I'm wondering - are there any resorts/room types that would comfortably fit the 5 of us? Not sure what I should be looking for....or if anything would be available onsite at this point. I usually go with DH, so haven't had to share rooms for a while. Also have never stayed in any resort suites, so would love to hear opinions based on experience.

Any pointers would be much appreciated. Thanks! :thumbsup2

It really depends on what your budget is and how comfortable people will be sharing beds. Ft. W cabins might be a good option, but 2 people will end up sharing a bed. I personally think it would be fun to hang out with my girlfriends at the cabin, drive golf carts around, boat to MK, etc. More fun and more comfortable than staying in a value suite (which, again, people would have to share beds). You might want to consider two rooms. If someone is on the small side, you could book 2 preferred rooms at POR to guarantee the trundle, but there is no guarantee the rooms would be connecting. If you all want separate comfortable beds and you have a bigger budget, I would look into the Treehouse Villas at SSR. Big, comfortable and you would have boat access to DS.

Thank you both for the input, and I will definitely check out the previous thread.

As the pp stated its all about the budget but if budget is not to much concern on our list is the POLY villas....besides the location and being on monorail the studios are very spacious with queen size bed and queen size sofa bed and a murphy from the wall unit, two bathrooms one is a full and very spacious at that and the other has large shower stall with rain shower head and large vanity so 2+ people can be getting ready at the same time!! Did it for the first time last Christmas and as you can see by my signature I have a house full of women....

oh btw...I just checked DVC availability and besides the night of Jan. 30 standard view and nights of Jan. 7,30,31 lake view the month of Jan is booked. So at this moment in time if it was a choice you will have to pay retail price to the mouse....

We stayed at BC with 5 adults, and we loved it. Our room was huge (not a standard room... it was on a corner). We had two queen beds and a double pull out couch. Plenty of room even with the bed pulled out the whole trip. I was worried, as this was our first time with 5... and it was no problem.

I echo, it just depends how much you want to spend, but we love Art of Animation. Those two bathrooms are (almost) priceless for a bunch of girls. Plus, cone cabanas!!!! I mean come on.

it sounds like you had a deluxe room?

Haha - I would love to stay at AoA!

I just feel like if people are comfortable, there's a less chance of grumpiness. :-P

I totally agree with that. We found all three of the beds very comfortable there. And if anyone doesn't like to share, there's a lot of floor space for an air mattress.

It was huge, but we only booked standard regular room.

You may have been upgraded. We stayed there after being at the poly and the room was smaller than the Poly rooms.

I would do the Poly. Their rooms are really spacious. and they have a nice size daybed/pullout.

I'm pretty sure we were. No doubt about that. It wasn't a standard room in view or size.

It depends upon what you want/need to be comfortable. If everyone wants to stay in the one room and are willing to sleep 2 to a bed, then most of the deluxe resorts will have rooms that can accommodate 5 women. You will, in most cases, have two queen beds and a daybed/pull out sofa. This scenario will only have one bathroom. With 5 in the room, it may be worthwhile to consider Club Level, which would give you a lounge to spread out in as well as breakfast and snacks. Easy access to at least one theme park is a nice bonus.

Deluxe Rooms in the Epcot area resorts will often sleep 5 as well, but are generally smaller than the three MK area resorts. "regular' rooms at the AKL and WL will only sleep 4.

Don't forget the extra charge for over two adults in one room.

AoA is really well themed and has enough sleeping surfaces for all, but only one real bed. However, this resort has two bathrooms and a small kitchenette that can be used to get some light meals, such as breakfast. There are also suites at ASMu that will accommodate you all, with two bathrooms and only one real bed, but enough sleeping surfaces overall.

DVC properties, if available, are nice, but with 5 adults I wouldn't want to consider a studio (although technically I think you would be allowed to stay there, that trundle is small). OKW would probably be your best bet.

The cabin at FW does sound like fun. It has one real bed, the bunk beds and the fold out in the living room. Again, only one bathroom. Also, getting around from here can be an issue for some because you have to use internal transportation to get to the WDW general transportation.

If you want the least expensive and the most real beds plus two bathrooms at the lowest price, then 2 value resort standard rooms will be the best choice with 4 real double beds (at All Star, Pop now has one real bed in at least some rooms). If queen beds are important, then 2 rooms at a moderate would be a good choice. Here you will get 4 queen beds and 2 bathrooms. However, any choice with 2 regular rooms may mean being a bit distant from one another. Connecting/adjacent rooms are a request only. Two of the moderate choices (CSR and CBR) are currently undergoing construction. CBR is fairly disruptive, IMO, so I wouldn't choose to stay there. However, if it doesn't matter to you, availability and price may be a bit better there. I would choose either POR or POFQ, personally, if going for two moderate rooms. POR technically will sleep 5 in some rooms but the trundle bed is meant for a small child and would be uncomfortable at best, IMO, for most adults.

My personal choice, FWIW would be two moderate rooms at POR in a preferred location, if budget allows. Love the boat to DS! OR deluxe with CL is togetherness is not an issue.

Good luck choosing and enjoy your trip!!!

Try an OKW two bedroom. You'd get one king bed and two queen beds. Plus a queen sleeper sofa and a twin sleeper chair. Plus a full kitchen, three TVs and a really large porch.

It's all in the eye of the beholder and what's important to you. I just came back from CBR for 8 nights with 5 adult women in one room. With 2 queen beds and a pull down there was plenty of room for us and we were not tripping over each other. The bathroom has two sinks and a separate room for toilet and shower so that helps a lot and two of the women were only 5 ft tall. I didn't mind the construction at all, but then again I was just happy to be there and the savings was great. So depending on what's most important to you and the size of the people staying there, if you are like us then highly recommend CBR but if you mind walking a little to get to the bus or buffet or don't want to share beds or budget isn't a concern then 2 bedroom villa at OKW would be a great option.

We did too. It was plenty of room for us. The Grand is as well.

I would stay at one of the MK resorts, GF, Poly, or CR. They have the largest rooms and all have 2 queens & day bed.
