I'm going to seperate them by price a bit.
It is totally unfair to lump Chef Mickeys or Ohana in with California Grill and Artists Pointe.
I ate on the meal plan and Spoodles was a one bagger. But I'm going to put it in with the better places.
Of the better places, my favorite was Spoodles with California Grill a close second. Now on the meal plan the choice hands down is Spoodles. California Grill is a two credit, spoodles was one when I went. It's been a couple months since so that may have changed. If you're paying out of pocket, Spoodles is a less pricey but there are a couple entrees that get way up there in price and if you get the add ons, you can approach California Grill Prices. So be careful if you're on a budget. One in our party got the rigatone with a shrimp add on. She also got the shrimp appetizer. Melt in your mouth do die for. The young one in our party got the kid's steak. It was similar in quality to the adult cut. It eas actually better than the kid's cut at the California Grill. I got the most expensive steak with both add ons. Oink Oink. The scallops were out of this world, the shrimp were good too. The steak was perfectly done.
The last in our party got the seafood stew. If you don't like spices, skip it. It has some kick. But boy was it delicious. I'm glad we all decided to eat sort of family style and share everything. The other appetizers ordered were Mediterranean dips and another order of the shrimp. Junior got the Flatbread. It was good. Really good. but don't order it for the kids. They won't like it because it tastes different than Pizza. If you're paying out of pocket, a family of 4 could probably do with 3 entrees, and an order of mediteranean dips and a flatbread pizza and eat it family style. The shrimp appetizer was rather dinky but really delicious.
Second, and boy it was a very close second, California Grill. I ordered the Veal. Yummy Yummy. Oh man melt in your mouth delicious. Another in the party ordered steak. It too was really good. The Sushi was great.
Now we chowed down because we were on the meal plan, but the reality is a husband and wife could probably order one entree, mediteranian dips, and one desert at spoodles and leave pretty full. Same holds for the Cali grill if the appetizer is one of the more expensive plates of sushi. l
Well those would be my choices of the more pricey places.
Of the less pricey places, which really should be in a different category because no way they're going to measure up to the higher price places, my favorite was Boma.
Chef Mickey's was next.
Hope that helps.
Yeah Yeah, I know I cheated. Spoodles is technically on the boardwalk but that's close to two resorts. Sue me.
