Multigenerational group. Usually at BCV. Thoughts on choices of Riviera, Animal Kingdom, Saratoga Springs, Old Key West, Copper Creek or Dolphin. Any suggestions appreciated.

1. Copper Creek (for the resort and transportation options)
2. Old Key West (for room size)
3. Kidani (for extra bathroom in the 1BR and larger)

Depends on how big a group, and how much park time you're planning to, and which parks

We’ve stayed at Kidani, Jambo, VGF, BRV, BCV (x2), BWV (x2) and OKW (x2) over the last 4 years. We just returned last week from our second stay at OKW, and it solidly cemented OKW as our favourite resort. I know the others have better proximity, but I found the transportation from OKW very good and the resort is so incredibly relaxing. This last trip was a split stay between BCV (first) and OKW (second), and my parents (75 years old) first trip to WDW. Everyone in our group preferred OKW to BCV.

If a 1 Bedroom or larger, my first choice would be OKW, second choice AKV. I speak from experience saying there's nothing like sitting around the table on the balcony eating breakfast with other generations (in my case, grandchildren).

Group of 12 (3 in 60's, 2 in 30's, 2 in 20's, 7 kids ages 13, 10, 8, and 2 toddlers. Plan to visit each park one day for all day, and day at the pool
Location doesn't matter that much for this trip, IMO, since nothing is close to all 4 parks. Personally in your shoes I would pick Riviera. 2 reasons:
1. It's a compact footprint, so easy to get around and meet up with a big group.
2. the skyliner. Gives you easy (and fun, kids love it) transport to and from 2 parks. And you can get on and off without breaking down strollers, unlike the buses.

Pools are not the most elaborate at WDW for sure, but perfectly nice, and compact so you can keep an eye on the kiddies (the opposite of sprawling BCV pool), plus a nice splash pad.

With that many younger kids, I'd definitely recommend AKL- especially Kidani with a savannah view. Our kids loved the excitement of getting back to the room and watching the animals. You'll also have 2 very different pools to choose from, and some very good eating options. Good luck with your decision - sounds like an amazing trip!

I’ve stayed at all of them except Riviera because it didn’t interest me when I checked it out

1. Copper Creek
2. Animal Kingdom Lodge (Jambo house)
3. Saratoga Springs

Copper creek is absolute magic. The setting will excite every age group in your family. Its just spectacular. Pool is beautiful. boatride to Magic Kingdom is so pretty. If you love the beauty of nature, this is the spot.

Animal Kingdom Lodge is very unique. Pool area is big and very nice too. I really like the lighting, its cozy. Feels a bit too far from everything though.

Saratoga is very underrated. Its got a Port Orleans vibe which I love. The walk through out the property with the lake and trees is beautiful. Pool is nice and the boatride to Disney Springs is enjoyable.

Do you have a certain budget? Do you all want to stay in one unit or are you getting separate rooms?

If you're all staying together, the Grand Villa at OKW can't be beat in terms of points cost.

AK Kadani Grand Villa has the most sleeping spaces because of the loft with second pull-out couch.

If budget is no concern, Riviera.

Not a fan of Swan and Dolphin, had a mishap there a few yrs back with a dishonest employee who tried to steal our CC info with a swiper in his pocket. Luckily for me, a very keen eyed NYC policeman was nearby and saw it all, and called the man out. Enough of that, but could not recommend Dolphin for that reason.

***Never stayed at Rivera, but location to 2 parks with skyliner a plus
***Love the theming at AKL, but feels a bit remote. If you have small kids, the travel on buses might be a bit taxing on adults.
***SSR love the proximity to DS
***OKW love the peaceful surroundings and proximity to DS
***CCR the theming wins for me at this resort! Also a boat or bus from MK is a plus for kids. Its a peaceful resort too. This would be my choice

I love RIV so it’s always my first choice and I love its ease to two parks, but find the pools a little less than CCV.

But, I am biased and not a fan of AKV, so I’d probably have CCV second, and SSR third.

Open on budget, also will have 2 scooters and we are trying to look at the number of stops at each resort.

Any reason you are ruling out BWV?
The 2 scooters + strollers complicates things, Riviera might be problematic because they can only fit one scooter per gondola cabin & I’ve read the hallways are a bit cramped for maneuvering https://www.disboards.com/threads/two-scooters-one-party.3852716/page-2 .
Of course the busses can be an issue too since they can only take 2 scooters per bus - so that makes AKL challenging - if you’re staying at Kidani it’s the first stop, so you’re more likely to have room on the bus to load both scooters v. Jambo where if someone in a scooter got on at Kidani you’ll have to wait.
But w/ SSR (4 bus stops) & OKW (5 bus stops) you don’t know which stop you’ll be closest to & they are also both bus only to all 4 parks. I’m not familiar enough w/ those resorts to know how doable it is to walk to the first stop. Also, not all OKW buildings have elevators so that’s another possible issue w/ strollers/scooters there.
I’d focus on which park(s) you’ll be at the most & look at the options that get your 2 scooter + strollers there easiest, CCV I think only uses the bigger boats so getting the scooters to MK via boat should be ok, but I’d consider BLT as well. At least w/ monorailing to Epcot there’s always room for both scooters on the same train. If you’re willing to spend the points it costs to stay at the Riviera I’d add VGF to the maybe list too, especially if you’re going after they’re done w/ construction.
I’m not sure I’d stay at the Dolphin since they aren’t part of Disney’s bus system anymore - but you can walk/boat to DHS & Epcot.
