Best Resort for Marathon Weekend?

Which resort would allow me to get the most out of Marathon Weekend? Im running the half and staying Wed-Sun.

Which resort would allow me to get the most out of Marathon Weekend? Im running the half and staying Wed-Sun.

At this point in time, as I understand it, any resort that has availability is a good resort.

I agree that any resort is best. We stayed at Pop Century last year, it was great for the runners, and for me the spectator. The bus picked the boys u dropped them off where they needed to me, and when it was my turn to go, they took me where I needed to go also. When it was time to return, the trip back to the resort was very fast.

All Disney resorts provide transportation to the race area. It is very convenient!

I'm staying @ Pop and I think they have availability...check them out.

Staying at the Contemporary or any Monorail Resort(if available) would be best as you can ride the monorail to the start of the 1/2. Faster and you can ride it later than the busses to the start. Means more sleep and less standing around.

Just dont tell me that BCV is the worst resort!!

(I've read that the bus service is spotty, and not our purple pants experts! and to keep in mind taxi service - any experiences?)

The bus service is great. You get dropped off right where you need to be. They run very fast, and keep a good schedule. I heard, dont know if it is true, but you have a longer walk going to the start line if you stay at a monorail resort. Regardless of which way you take to the start, you all need to be there at the same time.

We'll be waiting for the bus from BCV too
