Best Resort for Downtown Disney

We are coming in to Florida the night before our DCL cruise and was thinking of staying near Downtown Disney. We want to go to the new T-Rex restaurnt.

What would be the best resort to stay at for the one night. Thanks.

Saratoga Springs Resort is the closest to DTD. It is a deluxe.

Port Orleans Riverside and Port Orleans French Quarter are moderates and have a boat that goes directly from the resorts to DTD. It's about a fifteen minute ride.

Actually it's a Disney Vacation Club Resort, however you can say it's like a Deluxe Resort since the accomodations range from a Studio to a 2 Bedroom Villa.

Depening on your budget, you may want to look into a room at the partner hotels across from Downtown Disney. The Hilton and the Buena Vista Palace are very close to Downtown Disney and will probably cost you less than either Saratoga Springs or Old Key West, which are DVC resorts that are the closest Disney resorts.

I really enjoy staying at Saratoga Springs. Depending upon which building you are in, DTD is just a 10 minute walk away.

I would definitely choose POR. The boat ride to DTD from POR is great!! The resort is really nice and super relaxing. Our best trip ever was when we stayed there. The relaxing theme seemed to set the mood for the whole trip!!

There's also POFQ, POR sister resort. It's smaller that POR. The boat ride to DTD from either resort is about 20 min. You can ride the bus quicker, but the boat is much quieter and more relaxing.

I am planning on visiting SSR for the first time in April. Last time I visited was in 1996 when the Disney Institute was located at the same location as SSR. Did you stay in a villa?

I didn't realize that DTD was so close to Saratoga Springs. Have you ever stayed in a Studio for your visit?
