Best Resort For Christmas

I am looking at booking a long w/e in early December. I realize all the resorts and theme parks will be decorated for the holidays, but I was wondering which resort has the best holiday atmosphere?

I will be traveling with my DW, DS age 10, and DD age 7. We have been to all the parks many times so location of the resort is not a factor other than being on property. Thanks.

I only know how the Deluxe resorts are decorated. We have been three times when all of the holiday decorations were up. We are going back this December and have booked the Wilderness Lodge. It is beautiful! However, if money were not an issue my dream is to stay at the GF RPC so I could be in the main building. GF decorations are absolutely amazing. I have heard that AKL also has a beautiful tree, but have not actually seen it decorated for the holidays. We stayed at YC last December and it was not as "Christmasy" as WL and GF.

We stayed at AKL in Dec last year, they do have a great tree there but really very little else in terms of decorations.

We have been to WDW for Christmas 3 times. We have stayed at WL and PORS. We make it a point to see all the resorts dressed up in their finest. I would recommend staying at the WL for a Christmas stay. You can't help but feel that Christmas spirit.

The Wilderness Lodge gets my vote. It feels so warm and full of Christmas..

I have stayed at the following resorts while the Christmas decorations were up: WL, Poly, AKL, YC. I've also seen the decorations at the BWI and the GF. Disney really does a terrific job! Everything has an extra special magic to it. My votes are for the GF, WL, and AKL in that order. Their trees are the most impressive, and I believe they all participate in the resort vs. resort Gingerbread house contest. I remember that the GF and AKL had super impressive displays last year.

We have only stayed at the CBR and Poly when decorated for Christmas. We have also visited the GF and WL. The WL was absolutely breathtaking!!! It's theming and Christmas just seem to go together!

We have either stayed at or eaten at the following resorts during the holidays: All Star Music, All Star Movies, Dolphin, Beach Club, Yacht Club, Animal Kingdom Lodge, and Port Orleans Riverside. Of those, the Yacht Club/Beach Club ar the most decorated and "old timey Christmas-like". I have, however, heard that Wilderness Lodge is really the best done.

We have stayed at CSR,Poly,BCV,OKW,and VWL at christmas time and have visted all the other resorts during this time and hands down nothing beats WL!From the moment you walk into the lobby and see the tree and the fireplace and did I mention the TREE!!!December usually has those crisp nights that just beg for hot chocolate in an overstuffed rocker in a quiet corner by a fire.Now I'm starting to regret our choice of Halloween over Christmas this year!!!!

My vote would be AKL or WL. I love both of them especially around the holidays.

Only 6 more months until DH & I split our stay at WL & AKL!! Now you have all got me ready to load up the wagon! We love WDW at Christmas time! We have never stayed at either but have visited both on several occasions. The wait is killing me!!

Our only Dec. trip to date we stayed at BWV. The lobby is decorated with several trees and garland all with the big colorful ornaments kind of like Christopher Radko. We visited all the resorts though and WL gets my vote. It feels cosy and warm and more like home.
