Best Resort for Christmas Trip?

Voted for VWL because it is so special that time of year. I would also go for BCV for a short walk home after CP at Epcot.

UPDATE

So, far we have 5 nights booked @ BCV. I have to wait until Tuesday to finish the reservation (Monday is a holiday). Anyway, the CM said it looks like I will probably have to waitlist for the last 2 nights. I feel pretty good about the five nights! Waitlisting and possibly switching resorts once during our stay is no big deal!

If we have to waitlist would it be better to waitlist both nights together or separately?

"Better" is so subjective, would you be willing to move back and forth over the last 2 nights? I wouldn't, so I would waitlist for the 2 nights together. Some would probably say that your better chance of getting the nights is "one night at a time."

I'm curious as the the dates you are going. We are going to try to do the same thing next year, but want to go from 12/26 - 1/2/08. I've always read on the boards that switching at the 7 month mark is pretty hard to do over the week of Christmas/New Years. Just curious if these are the dates you are having success with.

I voted for BWV Boardwalk View. I admit I have only stayed at the BWV/BWI and BC/BCV while Christmas decorations were up. I have SEEN the WL lobby with Christmas decorations and it is really very pretty. I just think the BWV lobby is so elegant and pretty at Christmas time. The first time DH and I walked in there and saw the Christmas decorations up in the evening we looked at each other and said "we are staying here next time." We did too! Then, 3 years later we bought our DVC home resort there.

Dec. 21st through 28th. Seems before Christmas was available and the last couple of nights are going to need to be waitlisted. I had the CM check BCV, BWV and VWL and it looks like all the studios are booked. We will see next week. I'll let you know if I am successful.

I called Tuesday and had to waitlist for Dec. 26 and 27. I waitlisted for BCV, BWV and VWL. Well I checked the DVC member site tonight and it looks as though our waitlist came through in just 2 days!!!!

We are staying @ BCV from Dec. 21 through 28 in a studio.

We have not stayed that long in a studio before so we will see how we get along. Thank goodness for the dining plan!

I have heard SSR is pretty nice for Christmas as well from a few people i know who went last year.
