Best Resort for 3 Adults and 2 Children?

I am starting to plan our next year Universal/Disney Vacation. We have always gone to DW and stayed on site. This year, we plan on spending a few days at Universal and Sea World. What would be a good resort for us to stay that would accommodate all of us comfortably and be easy to go to the parks?

All three are an easy walk.

Royal Pacific is closest to IOA
Hard Rock is closest to US
Portofino Bay is on the same side as Hard Rock, and it a slightly longer walk.

Five people in one room. Can be done most comfortably at Portofino where the rooms are larger. You'll pay $25 a day for the 5th person and can get a roll away bed. There might be some options with a sleeper couch too. Someone may be able to chime in on that.

Do you have to pay $25 a day for the 5th person if you don't need a roll away bed? We've only done RPR with 5 with one child under 3. But that child will be 4 for our next trip and will share the bed with us. We've always picked RPR out of the resort hotels just because it's the least expensive.

You only have to pay an extra $25 if you have more than 2 adults. If you have 2 adults and 3 kids, you don't have to pay anything extra. If you have 3 adults and 2 kids, you do have to pay extra.

all 5 would recieve the room key and be able to obtain their express pass then.

Plus the fact when people try to cheat only raises the rates and causes them to change their polices which is unfair to the ones that are being honest

Was a post deleted that I can't see? Or did someone misunderstand what I or someone else was asking? My question wasn't trying to get around rules, I just wanted to know if I needed to budget the extra $25 per day for hotel since the 5th person was now past the 3 year old mark. (Which was answered that I don't. We're two adults and three kids).
