Hey all, was wondering what are some of the best counter service restaurants at the resorts. I was interested on trying out something new this trip.

We have our own car, so pretty much can go anywhere.

SSR has a large one that is very good....The pizza was really good...They have lots of seating too...

Mara at the AKL is also nice...Large seating area and good menu...And it is nice to walk around the pool and to the animal viewing areas....

Poly menu is good and it is nice to sit outside near the pool...Would not recommend going if there is bad weather...Inside dining area is not very large and loud.

POR is good, they have a make your own pasta and a make your own salad. You basically tell them what ingredients you want and they make it for you. So good. It can get very crowded though.

And if you're on the dining plan I love Pepper Market at CSR. Some people don't like the 10% surcharge (don't have that with Dining Plan), but I love the wide selection of food.

Food courts at the Value Resorts also are terrific.

Sounds like some good ideas, POR's menu looks good. We are staying at AKL and we have had Mara before. We did eat at SSR and really liked that one too!

Another vote for Riverside Mill at Port Orleans Riverside. The make-your-own pasta bar is very good and filling. There is also a make-your-own salad bar.

I also liked the salads and sandwiches at Beach Club Marketplace.

Have you visited Pop Century:confused3

We have stayed a few times and love the resort plus the food court has some really great choices.

If you check out the Pop Century thread you'll get more info about the choices; we like the Mom's Night Out specials.

If you are on the dining plan then the best bang for your buck is the trip to the Coronado Springs counter service, you can get a steak and baked potato plus dessert :yay:

Good luck!!!!

Pepper Market is really nice. Also, the Beach Club Market place has some really nice salads but make sure to ask them to put the dressing on the side, otherwise they will drench the salad with it.

The Pepper Market at CSR is really really good! I had chicken nachos and DH had a turkey club croissant.

I have to check out the menus, thanks for all the good suggestions!
