We finally found ourselves with a morning to have a relaxing breakfast. We are staying at the Shades of Green- 2 kids 9 and 6. Where would you suggest? Right now, i have us booked at 1900 Park Avenue. We do like Kona, but i thought this might be more fun. Thoughts?

Done Park Fare a few times. Love it as a character breakfast. Relaxing? Depends on your view point. Its certainly convenient so travel won't add any anxiety. Relaxing to me would be GFC or Kona.

are the kids boys or girls? I love 1900 but my boys 9&7 find it "girly". They love whispering Canyon and Cape may.

Two girls one boy. The Mad Hatter and Winnie make up for the girly factor. Actually my son is now 23 and has a new found attraction to Alice and Mary.

Best food is Kona, But I do like Ohana and Cape May if you want Character interaction.
Enjoy your vacation....

Cape May is our favorite and certainly not girly. However, its not too convenient to SoG depending on the day's plans.

Cape May is our favorite.

For good food and characters I say Cape May. If its relaxing you want I say Boma.

By "relaxing" do you mean non-park? If so, then 1900 PF is OK but Cape May might be even better. And assuming that "relaxing" also means "not at the crack of dawn", then after a late breakfast the family might enjoy taking the boat across to the Boardwalk and checking it out, or going over beyond Swan/Dolphin for a round of mini-golf.

If it is also a park day for you, then rather than 1900 PF I'd go on into MK for breakfast at Crystal Palace.

I actually think the very best breakfast might be at Boma. It is also a buffet but is non-character and with kids 6 & 9 they're still young enough to really enjoy the characters.

We LOVE Ohana and the Donald one at Animal Kingdom (sorry I can't spell the name of it). We love it so much we are tying to figure out a way to fit it in out adult only trip.:lmao:

Donald's has Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and Daisy you get your pic outside with Donald. There is also a fun parade with African instruments, that my kids liked. If you time the breakfast right you can walk right on the safari (although the bumping and full belly are not the best combo). :headache:

Ohana is at the poly so it is close to you and then you could take the monorail to the park for the day. That one has Stitch mickey Pluto and Lelo.

Enjoy!

I have to agree with dahall, we have had breakfast all over disney and Donald's breakfast at AK has been the best by far!

For a non-resort breakfast 1900 Park Fare is great-typical Disney breakfast fare plus great characters, As breakfasts go I would give it a thumbs up!

My vote is for Ohana as well!! It is our must do breakfast every trip!! DS15 is a huge stitch fan!!! We always do this on even if we are not on the dining plan!! Plus the juice is the best on property!!!

1900 Park fare breakfast is great, but it willl probably be the quintessential buffet- loud and busy. If your looking for a relaxing breakfast, I would suggest Kouzzina by Cat Cora. A nicer place- usually not that busy, and the food is GREAT! There is a mixture of your usual breakfast fare, along with new offerings. Definitely recommend. However, you are correct, Park fare is probably more fun.

My favorites are Kouzzina and the Grand Floridian Café. I would definitely say that the latter is more relaxing, but I don't have children to factor in to that decision.

Several people have said that Olivia's Cafe at OKW is a bit of a "hidden gem". We are trying it on our off day and then plan on checking out OKW resort and heading to DTD for the day, since it's so close.
