best resaurants w/ older kids

We will be at Disney World for a week over Christmas. I have two sons, who are 10 and 12. We are looking for some nicer restaurants whose menu would still appeal to kids. We're not interested in character meals, and my kids are somewhat adventurous. We have eaten at Marrakesh and they liked it, Le Cellier and Artist's Point, which they loved and California Grille which they thought was o.k. I'm thinking about Jiko, the Wave, Teppan Eido, and possibly Narcoossees or Citricos. We are willing to eat at parks and/or resorts. We will have a car and are staying at BLT (Yay!) Would love to hear what kids enjoy that doesn't involve characters.

We tried the Biergarden in Epcot with our 13 and 14 yr old daughters. It was fun. Not high end cuisine by any means (its a buffet) - but the entertainment was fun -- a change -- and we liked sitting family style and meeting other people. Just an idea.

At that age my kids like Teppan Edo, Boma, San Angel and Beaches and Cream. My older kids (high school, college) enjoy Jiko and AP. If they are into sports they might enjoy ESPN. Your kids are still young enough to enjoy WCC, I think (no characters but still silly), Sci-Fi is another thought...

My kids are 13 and 10 and usually pretty adventurous eaters they especially like fish. They like Coral Reef, Boma, Biergarten, however their favorite is Sci Fi, for the atmosphere.

My kids are DS11 and DD13. There are so many restaurants they like.

• Teppan Edo - both for the food and for the show by the chef
• Narcoossee's - great food and the view of the fireworks
• California Grill (they like Narcoossee's more)
• The Wave - I think the big draw is the desserts. We actually sat in the lounge area once just for dessert.
• Kona Cafe is good too. It can get really noisy and you don't want a table near the entrance.
