We don't think that we will get in a Bonnet Creek because we want to travel in the next month or so. We are new owners to the systemn and we don't have any experience with timeshares. In fact it is alll pretty confusing for us yet. We are trying to find a nice and newer RCI resort that has a really nice pool with activities for a 2 year old. We would love a zero depth entry pool or a childrens pool if possible. Does anyone have any ideas or recommendations??

Thanks,
Vicki :cheer2:

Hilton Grand Vacation Club - at SW or ID. ID is the newest.

sherton Vistana Village

the Cypress Pointe is not new - but has lately been redone - the entire place.

it is definitely the closest.

Silver Lake use to get good reviews - but lately they have been all pretty bad.

RCI number

hgvc at SW 3517
HGVC at ID 6309
sheraton vistana village 6059
Cypress pointe 2750, 3996, 8646

now for zero entry pools - I don't know of any - now they might I just don't know.

Disney's have SSR, BCV - that have zero entry pool but they only trade with II not RCI.

Do you own at FF? Because if you do, you should just start checking everyday for availability. FF gets lots of cancellations, so Bonnet Creek would not be out of the question. I think (not sure), that they will have a new building opening in May.

Vicki,

Walk don't run to www.tug2.net and sign up as a member. It's around $15 a year, but if you are new to timesharing, it will be money well spent. They have extensive reviews of most timeshare properties. I don't ever book a resort until I check there.

Also, don't get too focused on only new properties. Many of the older properties are extremely well maintained and you can't tell that they're not brand spanking new.

There are many nice resorts in Orlando. Since you're working very last minute (we made our reservations for this week almost a year ago) you'll sort of have to take what you can get. Spring is the hardest time of the year to get into Florida.

Good luck.

If you are an RCI member, you may wish to RCI's extra vacations or last calls. Sometimes you can get good rates on last minute plans such as yours.

Gary - I haven't seem Orlando in last call for a while. Now for extra vacation they are there - but boy they are down right expensive....

spicey.....

if you call in to book them or even check on a confirmed Extra Vacation, the price on their screen reflects the taxes that they plan on eventually charging ......due to "florida regulations ....or so they say....

they cannot tell you where the explantion of "additional charges" is on the web site, but the taxes will eventually add about 11.5% to the cost of the EV.....this probably means a last call booked with them will also be higher than the quoted price ONLINE...

guess we should take advantage of booking ONLINE, the good prices for doing that will probably soon come to an end when they can figure out how to program the "taxes" in for all the different states and counties and cities where these "extra vacations" are located.....
