I am sort of bowled over by this best rate program. I had called several months ago and reserved a room at POFQ for December. Having been a passholder for many years, I "knew" that some passholder rates would come out around Aug. I didn't pick up my annual pass until last week, so I wasn't able to go online until after I had my pass number. Imagine my disappointment when I went on and the only available passholder rate is at CBR. Desperate calls to reservations only resulted in "I can't help you." Incredible. My question is what happens if you decide on a spur of the moment trip and can't/don't book 60 days out? I guess I'm not sure who this program benefits. Certainly not the passholders, unless I am missing something. (And I could be.) It just used to be so easy to call and have them look around to find you a passholder rate. I guess I just miss that good old customer service. And what is up with the non-refundable deposit?? Are they just trying to deter their passholders? I really don't understand.
