Best Rate program, actually worked for me...

I go the email about the change to 60 day out limit and went online. Not only did I save money over the AAA rate I got, I was told by the Cast member on the phone that my rate was even better then the one released for FLA residents for the same week in November.

I am feeling pretty good about this. Still not as low as before, but overall good rate.

Can I ask which resort you booked and what the rate was? I looked online today to see if they could beat my AAA discount I got for December and the difference was about $5.00 total. I figured for the small difference in price I might be better off keeping the AAA rate, since I won't be penalized for canceling or changing my reservation if I have to, unlike the Best Rate Program.

Since this trip is cast in stone, I took the savings and booked it. BTY rates is $79.

I'll see what happen, the cast Member I had was fantastic, checked other hotels gave advice on what to do. I thought this was very nice, considering we are regulars 35 plus trips total (16 since Feb 2000).

She was extremely helpful all the way around. She said that regular call in rates may be available in early september, but if they are and they are lower - I'd get them automatically and if I want I could call in to make sure.

She also found me a breakfast at CRT during our chat as I said I'd love to go, but doubt I could get it. Didn't even know she was looking for me. That is what I call customer service, the old fashion Disney way.

Maybe, Igler is starting to change the attitude of the company already.
