DH wants to go to the Poly very desperately but the rooms are just so expensive. We booked 10 nights at CBR and it is our favorite resort but I know it would be such a great surprise if we got in our rental car and headed straight to Poly - DH would be so excited! I am hoping to surprise him and perhaps do 3 nights at Garden View Poly and 7 nights at CBR - how are the Garden views at the Poly and more importantly, waht is the best rate anyone has ever gotten for the Poly? We have APs so I am hoping that we could get at least a rate of $199 - is that hoping for too much? Any help is much appreciated!!!!

I called CRO a couple of weeks ago and got a quote of just over $280/night for GV with a AAA discount at the end of value season in September. I'm hoping for some room-only discount codes or AP rates to be released ... I've got my fingers crossed :p

If the summer AP rates are any indication, expect a rate around $214 per night plus tax, so $239 per night, tax included!! Good luck getting an AP rate!

We got the Poly for$170/night last early Dec with a FL resident rate. I believe AP rates were similar for that time frame. You will love that resort. It's our all time favorite. From seeing Spectromagic & the fireworks from the beach to Kona Cafe & don't forget Ohana's. We went for the character breakfast & then at night we got to see the MK fireworks ! Totally awesome resort ! :hyper:

Poly is also my DH's fave resort although we've never been able to stay there! He has always wanted to stay there and I'm trying to surprise him this November for our 15th anniversary. I am also anxiously awaiting AP rates for that time. I would LOVE to find a rate of $170 as one poster previously noted.

Let's keep our fingers crossed!!

Sammy - well, it sounds like you have a real reason to celebrate - congrats on your anniversary!!! That is definitely a good reason to splurge and stay at Poly - and yes, let's all keep our fingers crossed.
Thanks guys!!
Anyone else have any good rates for the Poly to share???

I will keep my fingers crossed for you as well, as for our rate we are doing the 7 for 4 package this year so the room works out to about $223.00 for Garden View Concierge (I think I did the math right on this one) but if you want to work it out $2291 for 2 adults for GVC and UPH Tickets

:earsboy:

WIDisneyFan - Only two more weeks for you? Have a great time and please let us know how your trip was when you return. It would be good to get some feedback on the Poly.
Again, have fun and enjoy!!!

is fantastic - when are you going? That'll determine your rate. We're going in exactly one week and we booked a garden view, AP rate and with tax it's $233. Not far from your price range. I say go for it. You can get it even cheaper at times - we got $179 plus tax in Feb.

Have fun - you'll be hooked on the Poly once you try it.

You don't mention when you're going, but if Annual Pass rates follow postcard rates, my fiancée and got the Polynesian for our honeymoon for $233/night (tax included) for a garden view. If I calculated correctly, that's about $208/night before tax.

However, I don't know if AP rates follow the same pricing scheme as the postcards, and I don't know if AP rates will be released for your time period.

Good luck! I hope it all works out for you! :)

We are headed there for 10 nights - Sept. 18 - 28 and we have all nights booked at CBR. I am hoping we can at least do 3 nights at the Poly (if not, then we will go with CR but we've already been there, done that:) We have a AAA room booked with CBR that gave us 20% off and we do have APs - so with that new info, what do you think?

It's a tough call, and I would say that it depends on what you're willing to spend.

I don't think it'll get much cheaper than the $208/night I mentioned earlier, but that's only about $10 more than you wanted to spend. Is the Polynesian worth that extra $30 to you?

If you've got annual passes, I would wait and see if they release rates. If they do, snag one if you can afford it. Otherwise, stick with CBR.

Good luck!

Thanks for all the great advise and yes, I was hoping to get maybe $199 a night but it may be worth the extra $30 to stay, especially if it would surprise my DH:)
I will let you know how I make out - thanks!!!

7 for 4 deal...LVC in Value season...$268 before taxes

We're going to the Poly in July, and had booked 2 rooms at the fairly standard GV rate of $299. A few weeks ago I checked out mousesavers.com on a whim and found a code for rates in July at various resorts. The poly rate was $224! I called DH and he called WDW CRO and asked if they could apply that rate to our existing ressie and they did, saving us a whopping $1200 for 2 rooms for 8 nights! We could not believe our luck - and DH can not believe I actually saved $1200 on anything, let alone something at Dsiney:) Mousesavers.com really was worth checking out.

Good luck finding a great rate - and have a wonderful trip!
