Just curious, so no flames please! I am definitely not going to do it. #1 because it wouldn't be right and #2 because with my luck I'd be the one asked to show my AP at check in again.
But I am curious what's to stop someone who has an AP that will be expiring just prior to their trip from going onto the AP site, book using the numbers off their AP, getting a good deal, but then not renewing their AP in time for their trip. In my case my AP expires January 2006. I plan to make another trip down there in early May, so my AP would still be good prior to the 120 day deadline for making ressies. I know the CM at the resort can always ask to see your AP at check-in and that the system knows when your AP will expire. I know they're supposed to check and you occasionally hear of a CM at check-in asking to see an AP, but it has always been the exception rather than the rule. Do you think that a flag will be going up in the computers at check-in for people who book with an AP that will expire prior to check-in, in order to verify that they have renewed their APs?
