Best quick service out of Polynesian, Contemporary, and Grand Floridian?

My partner and I are going to the Christmas party and I want to get something to eat at one of the monorail Resorts beforehand but there are no reservations for that day. What would be the best quick service option out of these three resorts? Thanks in advance!

I prefer Captain Cooks at the Poly for meatballs and noodles.
But check out the menus at all 3 resorts and see what appeals to you. :)
Do the meatballs have a really strong coconut taste? I've heard great things about them but I don't care for strong coconut flavor.

Sorry. I’m not sure. It’s my son and husband who love them.
Hopefully someone else will chime in.

Our experience is that the food is pretty good at all 3, but Contempo Cafe has the least variety and Gasparilla's has the most. However, they've also messed up some of our Gasparilla's to-go orders (wrong side, left items off sandwiches or included others we didn't ask for).

We prefer Gasparilla's for the food and for the outdoor seating area - such a pretty view! I find Capt. Cook's to be a bit chaotic and Contempo is just so drab, IMHO. What time were you thinking of eating? If you have any interest in Trader Sam's, you could line up at 2 pm, give them your name and be in the first wave of people who go in at 3 pm - the apps there are really good!

Edited to add: you can also sit at the bar and eat at Steakhouse 71 (lunch is until 2 pm, dinner 5-9 pm)

I am a huge fan of the Poly but Capt cooks is perhaps the worst CS of the deluxe resorts except for a few breakfast options anything with pork is just bad there. If it’s a burger they are fine but also always crowded…. Poly has better options such as the apps at the outdoor part of trader Sams… Contempo cafe has always been good. The pulled pork at WL is the same as they serve in Whispering canyon and very good. They also have upper end CS at Geyser point less options then the bar a bit pricey but far better then what you get at normal CS at Disney. Also a nice boat ride to MK or a very short bus ride.

So I don’t recall exact flavors to answer but I hate coconut flavoring on candy but like coconut milk. Idk what this translates to for coconut flavor but I loved the coconut meatballs. Biggest thing that stood out flavor wise to me to call out was it was bit too spicy for my wife who has low spice tolerance.

Not at all! Mine were good, but the coconut taste was very barely noticeable. I've eaten at ask 3, and I prefer Captain Cook's by far.

we're trying to go between like 12 and 3:30 so we can line up for the xmas party early. We might have to try steakhouse lunch or trader sam's!

It really depends on what appeals to you and your group. Sometimes we go to Contempo Cafe bc we enjoy the chicken noodle soup and the sight of giant bobbing chef hats. Gasparilla’s when we want the Italian sandwich and a nice view of the marina. Captain Cook’s for the stir fried noodles and leis that leave thread everywhere.

My personal fav is Poly. You can eat at Tambu Lounge or get Kona To Go as well. And it’s always fun to walk around sipping a drink out of a pineapple (it can be non-alcoholic).

Steakhouse71 cause you can walk to MK … not sure about walking path from Poly due to construction.
Also the monorail can be very packed and you might not want to get off and stand in the line to re- board. Especially the GF line with the Gingerbread House crowds. ? Oh maybe your party is before the GBHouse opens. My mistake.
If it was me, I would just want to be inside MK and would be happy with a food selection from the Starbucks and then sit and people watch.

Capt Cooks!! The pulled pork nachos are awesome!!
I tried those and they would have been good, but the chips were so salty it made them almost inedible. I ended up just eating the pork off the top.

Also, you might want to keep trying for an ADR at the Grand Floridian Cafe. Stuff does open up there, even at busy times.

Sry you got a bad serving. I do not like much salt at all and the two times we ate them on our last vaca, they were perfect.
