Best Princess Meal

Akerhus - definitely depends on your taste, as you can see. I love the food here (this was a fave even before the princesses sat court here), but if the lunch/dinner menu doesn't appeal to you, go for breakfast. I thought that was very good too, although I missed the Norwegian food! I'd recommend breakfast or lunch, though, since they do tend to get backed up and you may have to wait long after your res. time before being seated. The princesses are great, and it is definitely a good value for the DP.

CRT - I scored early dinner here on Christmas Day one year, and we loved the experience and the food. I would not do it every trip, though, and we only got to see Prince, Godmother and mice - and pics with Cindy beforehand. Maybe they have changed it since then, but I liked the princesses at Norway better. It was really fun, though, and we were glad we did it!

1900 PF We did this one too, and it was my least favorite. No stepmother or sisters, but we had to wait a LONG time to see Cindy (our whole reason for going there) - turns out someone spilled chocolate ice cream on her beautiful ball gown and she had to go get a new dress! :lmao: The food was fine, but not memorable.

For a short trip, I'd stick with Akershus!:goodvibes

This is my dilemma. Everyone keeps saying that you have to eat in the castle at least once, but that's 2 credits. Since we're only staying 3 nights and only have 3 TS credits each, I'm almost positive we'll do Akershus.

I think this is an awesome choice! Your Princess will get to see a hanful of Princesses, and I'm sure she'll be thrilled!! Plus, you'll get a photo package of memories for FREE!

We've also dined at all three. In terms of food, I didn't find any of them good at all. But in terms of character interaction, I would choose the Akershus for the Princesses.

CRT - we've only dined there for dinner a few times, we didn't find the food great and for characters, it was only the Fairy Godmother and Perla and Suzy who made an appearance, and they didn't really go from table to table all the time. However, the experience of dining inside Cinderella's castle is worth it at least once.

1900 Park Fare - firstly, we are not fans of buffets, so we really didn't enjoy the meal. As far as the characters, Lady Tremaine, Drizella and Anastasia were absolutely hilarious...they were in full character. Cinderella and the Prince were fine although it took forever for Cinderella to make it over to our table.

Akershus - the food was/is not our favourite, but we keep coming back for the Princesses. We've dined here more times than the others. Generally, we have had good character interaction. A few times, some of the Princesses would dance with my daughter and some taught her how to curtsy etc. She loves it here.

Thank you everyone for your responses!! My 180 is coming up and I think we are going to try to do Breakfast or lunch at CRT(which one would be better??)
and Breakfast or lunch At Akerhus

My DD is a breakfast person so we did breakfast for both of those. I prefered the selection at Akershus over CRT. If I felt like we would have gotten our money's worth (DD is a very picky eater) , I would have chosen lunch at CRT instead of breakfast.

Good luck with the ADRs!

never did CRT but will sometime this year....

but without eating there I would have to say 1900 park fare would be my least favorite (if you are going for the kids)...although to be honest the stepsisters were hilarious...but cinderella and prince charming were boring...but I guess because we had the stepsisters and lady tremaine entertaining us throughout the dinner.

Akershus was great..it is family style breakfast but all was good..they even had like a small buffet line with muffins and cold cuts...it was good..and my son and I saw belle (free picture was included with meal)...mary poppins (why is she a princess) but she was so nice, Aurora, Cinderella, and Snow White...was really hoping to see Ariel shes the one princess we haven't met...

We've done breakfast at Akershus twice and breakfast at CRT once. We loved both of them! On our next trip we will be doing Akershus again - probably will try dinner next time.

This has been posted before, but according to AllEars.net (from this past November), CRT will have the Princesses for dinner as well:

"Beginning Feb. 7, 2010, Fairytale Dining is the new name for the Character dining experience for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table. (There no longer will be specific names – such as "Once Upon a Time Breakfast" and "A Fairytale Lunch." The current pricing will remain in effect. Reservations are now available.

In this Fairytale Dining experience, Guests will have a photo opportunity with Cinderella in the castle lobby, as she welcomes all to the feast at Cinderella's Royal Table. Cinderella's Royal Friends, the Disney Princesses, will mingle with Guests as they dine."

We're doing CRT dinner on Feb2nd. I wish this would have changed as of Feb 1st! DD would love to see princesses more than FGM & mice. :)
