Best prices on breast pumps?

My SIL exclusively pumped and bottle fed for over 6 months using a $35 First Years pump from WalMart. Just because there are `better`options out there doesn`t mean you necessarily need it.

On the other hand, they generally aren't returnable and if you aren't a great milk producer and need a heavy duty pump, that's $35 down the drain.

excellent pump, closed system and for $159, well worth the money. I also say check with your insurance company. Mine didn't pay for the pump entirely, but had some "Baby Blue" program that reimbursed $50 dollars.

My Medela Pump in Style is still working after 13 years!! My sister is using it and she says it is much better than the backpack style she used for her 1st child.

Check consignment stores in upscale areas. A lot of women purchase the pump or receive it as a gift, then don't end up nursing.

I bought a Medela Pump n Style in the messenger bag at Buy Buy Baby using the 20% coupon. Best money I spent with the baby. Full time working mom with a baby with an extreme appetite who I nursed until 21 months. It held up extremely wellconsidering how often I used it and their customer service was great. I used the pump in Jamaica with the adapter and when I plugged it in when we returned home it wouldn't work. When I went through the manual I realized too late the warning to not use the adapter internationally, something different about the voltage. I was willing to pay for a new adapter, but the CS rep sent me a new one right away at no charge, even though it was my fault.
