Best Priced Hotels With a View

It looks like Tropicana has a "Disney Executive Suite" with a private balcony, but I can't find any pictures of what the view is like. It looks like it is only 2-3 stories so probably not as good as the one we got next door at the Courtyard. Would you recommend Park Vue strongly over Tropicana? They look like they will work out to about the same price during our dates given the executive suite upgrade.
I believe the staff at Tropicana mentioned some King rooms do have a balcony, and that we should call for those sort of requests. We stayed on the 3rd floor and had a pretty good view. Its at the same height (maybe a tiny bit higher) than the monorail tracks, and the fireworks are high enough that there shouldn't be anything in the way.

As far as PVI vs Trop rooms, I have to say I like Trop more after their recent reno! The Jacuzzi suite at PVI was fine, but hubs and I aren't "small" people (I was 5'3" and 180# or so, and Hubs was 5'9" and 225#), and that Jacuzzi was a bit squished. We used it only 2 out of 4 nights we were there because the proportions just didn't work well for our body shapes.

So no real views INTO the park then I assume? Like the Matterhorn, Space, Fun Wheel ect? I really loved that about Courtyard, but we could have just gotten lucky with how high up we were.

No, not into the park; or at least not really much. I'd call our view a "Monorail View"--it went right outside our window across the street. I looked through my pictures, and apparently didn't take a picture of our view outside; I thought I had, but I guess not.

Wish we could wear our wedding digs into the park for DD... How much can I expect to pay for the DD discount tickets? Or should I just go ahead and buy regular park tickets now to avoid any prince increase before they are announced?
You should wear your wedding clothes to Dapper Day (if you are willing to pack them). It's your honeymoon. It's a once in a lifetime event.

You can probably see the ticket rates by going to dapperday.com and seeing what they are charging for the fall tickets when those are loaded. If you decide to book a Disney Hotel via the special rate, keep in mind that you will lose your first night's deposit if you have to cancel. If a full stay is too much, you can always book a split stay with a less expensive place.

It has been many years, but my husband and I stayed at the Hyatt about a mile away on Harbor. We had a corner room and I believe we had a jacuzzi tub and a fireworks view. It was so long ago, I cannot say for certain. It's worth a call if you are interested. It was a very nice place to stay. Always thought we'd stay there again, but we haven't because I like to use my Hilton points or stay on site.

Would they really let her wear her wedding dress in?

Is it the Hyatt Place or Hyatt House at the corner of Harbor and Katella?

Not the quoted poster. Unlikely they would let her in wearing full wedding attire if it was a "full" wedding dress (like floor-length gown), but if it was more of a non-traditional dress, there's a fair chance it could allowed on Dapper Day. Basic clothing rule: If it distracts other guests, there's a chance it won't be allowed.

The Sheraton Park is a bit longer walk but has great views of the fireworks from balcony king rooms, a gorgeous pool area and all the usual Hotel amenities vs the usual Motels around the gates.
