Best price on The Hobbit?

Target usually has good prices on DVDs/ Blurays the first week they come out... I wanted to get wreck it Ralph last week but it slipped my mind!

wow. is that out already?

I was going to take the kids to see it over Spring Break, but I may as well buy the Blu-ray.

Just do a Google search for it, Have seen it for 14.99 with free shipping.
Seen them sell on ebay for less than that.

The one at Toys r Us is for a download to a computer or ipad or something. I thought the deal was to good to be true then I read the fine print. It's not for a hard copy.

I picked up the DVD/blu-ray/ultraviolet (digital copy) set with a Lego Bilbo Baggins for $22.99 at Target for DH basket. Their 3 piece set WITHOUT Bilbo was also $22.99. Hope that helps!

Got mine at walmart today for 18.95 (virginia) came with a code for downloading a digital copy, but having trouble getting the code to work :(

Don't forget -- Papa John's Pizza is offering a $3 mail-in rebate if you buy both the Blu-ray combo and a pizza, this week...

I'd imagine they'll release a 3 movie box set this time next year, it might pay to wait for that (parts 2 and 3 come out this summer and this Christmas, respectively). Who knows, the 3 movie box set may have additional features you (or your kids) could want and it might (though no guarantee) be cheaper than buying each movie as it's released on DVD.

Just a suggestion! :wave2:

:goodvibes I bought it off of Amazon on Blu-Ray for $21...looks like the DVD is going for $14.99 pretty much everywhere.

Costco had the blu ray set for 18.99. The 3d version was 24.99. I don't remember what the DVD alone cost.

I thought we were going to have to wait 2 more years to see the rest of the Hobbit - Christmas this year and the next. I had no idea part 2 was coming out over the summer - thanks you made my day!!!

The pp was wrong. The part 2 release date is December 13, 2013. Part 3 was supposed to be July of next year, but has been pushed back until December 2014 now. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

My guess is that they'll release each one separately and then the year after a few months before Christmas they'll release boxed sets. If they release boxed sets at the same time as they release the third movie then not as many people will buy the third one since they'll just get the boxed set. After that is when the extended versions get released followed later on by a boxed set of the extended versions. Repeat with versions that have additional bonus features. Peter Jackson's not as bad as George Lucas, but he does still play this game at least this much.
