I recieved four place settings as a Christmas gift. DH and I love it and after 25 years we really need new dinnerware. I want to buy eight more place settings.

Does this stuff ever go on sale?

Any ideas about the least expensive place to purchase?

TIA

If you live anywhere near a Filene's store, they usually have it on sale about once a month. I hit the local mall on Saturday morning, did not really need to buy anything, just am a Saturday morning mall junkie, and Filene's had it for $19.99 a place setting. My daughter is a huge Fiesta ware nut, she has service for at least 16, so I checked it out. There a couple of new colors, the Peacock Blue, Cinnabar, Shamrock and Sunflower that she has a few pieces of. I had picked up a place setting of the peacock blue, carried it around for a few minutes and decided not to buy it. She did tell me at dinner yesterday that she does not have that color, so looks like she will be getting it for her birthday in a few weeks. She has everything from coasters to platters to huge serving dishes. She just loves the stuff.
Good luck in your quest for it.

Amazon Friday Sale

If you're not in a hurry - keep watching that link every Friday. I see Fiesta-ware available every few weeks it seems. Never really paid attention to the price since I'm not in the market for dinnerware right now. . . but you might be able to find a good deal.

Linens and things carry it and you can always use a 20% off coupon with it. Macy's also seems to have it on sale a lot.

I have Fiestaware pastel colors as my everyday dishes so I am always looking for new pieces. The Linens N Things near me has very little and the manager told me they are not going to be carrying it anymore. Not sure if it is just my store or all of them. I have also found sporatic pieces at TJ Maxx. They were mostly serving pieces but the platters were $5.00 nothing wrong with them. So keep an eye out there too.

I have bought a few pieces from Amazon and been very please with the pieces and the delivery. I've bought other pieces on ebay from sellers who live near the factory. Some of them have been factory seconds but I only had one problem ( the dish came cracked) and that seller replaced the item right away.

I too see them on sale at Macy's. It depends pon the color as far as the pricing goes. I know Amazon usually marks the "off" colors way down.

I love my Fiesta! Nothing matches and I love it that way! I have the pastels....and fiestaontheweb is run by two nice ladies who pack the stuff REALLY well...and it is all open stock so you just buy what you want!

Mine reminds me of the 50's and my Grandma's kitchen!

I got started with Fiesta dinnerware because I was sick of the kids breaking a saucer here, a dinner plate there, and the occasional coffee mug or two from my corelle, then pfaltzcraft....so I ventured into the Fiesta mix and match.

I've found very good prices on place settings from Kaufman's and BonTon. They usually have place settings on sale for around $14-$15. I also have luck finding oddball pieces from TJ Maxx.

I use the pastels in the same way. I have my serving pieces in all different pastel colors. My kids tease me cause when I set the table one place setting can't have any pieces that are the same color. :rolleyes1

Reminds me of my Grandmother's kitchen too.

I get mine at Kohl's on sale they run 20.00 for a 5 piece place setting or about the same at Dillards. I have a complete set for 8 and then I put plates, bowls and dissert plates to fill in.

From what I can tell, Kohls does not carry Fiesta, they carry some other brand now. They USED to have Fiesta, I am pretty sure, but not in the last year at least?

Thanks for a the replies. I picked some up today at Dillards for $20 for a 5 piece place setting. They were sold out of all the colors that I want except cobalt and cinnabar so I got those and will keep stopping in. I'm not doing any pastels so I won't be getting all of the colors.

I not only collect Fiestaware but we USE it--I get mine at a local antique type mall (that has booths of different vendors). One booth is just Fiesta and is all the pieces sold individually. I think they get it from that big flea market near Dallas--where I understand has a huge Fiesta "seconds" area. Most of the stuff I get at this little antique mall is seconds--meaning they may have a small bubble in the finish, a small chip, a small area where the paint did not get good. All of the blemishes are hardly noticeable. They do have some that are first's also.

I love the place settings, however some of my fav pieces (and most used in our family) are some of the more unique things like the big chili bowls, small boullion bowls, etc. I do all colors and love mixing and matching. I did get the scarlet and peacock for Christmas!!

I don't know where you live but we have Herberger's and Fiesta goes on sale all the time with them. The also send out additional percentage coupons that can be used on the kitchenwares. Right now, they are closing out the periwinkle color at 50% off and all the other colors are 30% off. This only helps if you have a Herberger's nearby, tho' as they don't take orders online. You can order by telephone but I would imagine the cost for shipping would wipe out any savings and more. Here is a link just for information.

I have gotten some from Amazon.com the best deal was a free "pasta" bowl bonus about a year ago. Pasta bowl is a serving bowl to me.
Also, you can get Fiestaware through Better Crocker catalog and online. Use some points off of Betty Crocker food items to get the lowest price with them. Their place settings are include a small fruit bowl that the ones on amazon do not. Free shipping at times too.
HOpe this helps.
