Best Price on Alice?

ATTENTION!
Some here are referring to DVD, others like myself are referring to Blu-ray + DVD + Digital copy. Obviously Blu-Ray is usually twice the price.
Make sure you get your facts straight about who is talking about what before you rush out and waste your time.
I paid $17 after the coupon at Costco, and I got the BR + DVD + DC 3-disc set. I did have to buy a separate Disney DVD to get that $10 coupon, So basically with my deal you get the 3 disc Alice BR set plus a second Disney DVD for the base price you pay at Walmart if you just walked in and bought Just Alice on BR.

Savvy?pirate:pirate:pirate:pirate:

For those of you not specifying which it was... OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!!!!
(You'll get that later after you watch the movie)

Don't know where you are paying twice as much for Bluray vs DVD - that is never the case if you know where to shop. I haven't paid more than $19.99 for any single Bluray we own and often pay less than $15.

The $10 coupon is supposed to only be good for the Blu-ray Combo Pack.

Costco is not a good place to buy Disney discs since they don't accept outside coupons, hence why you had to buy the second DVD in order to get their $10 offer. Anywhere else you could just use the $10 Disney coupon and be done with it.

We got ours at BJ's:

$28.99 Bluray Combo Pack minus -
$3 in-store rebate through 6/6 minus
$10 Disney Coupon minus
$8 in-store coupon with purchase of water (32 bottles for $3.29, which we need for hurricane season now anyway)
Final price of $7.99 (add the water you get a total of $11.28 technically). :thumbsup2

Here's my grand Scheme -

Target has Sobe Life Water on sale 10/$10
If you buy 10 of them, you get a $5 gift card.
Also, on the Target website, there are 2 coupons, one for 50 cents off a bottle of Sobe, and one for buy one Sobe, get one free.
I have three computers, so I printed 3 sets of the coupons
So I pick up 10 Sobes for $8.50 ($10 - .50 - $1)
I repeated this two more times (also saving .10 each trip for using my own bags)
I use the three gift cards, and the ten dollar off coupon to get the Alice Blu-Ray disc for $1.99

So for $27.65, I get 30 bottles of Sobe, and the Alice Blu Ray:woohoo:

Bj's wholesale club is supposed to have $8 off if you purchase a case of Berkley & Jenses water bottles (regularly $3.29 I think), and if you add the $10 Disney coupon you get the blu-ray combo pack for about $10 + the water.

Yes they had the $8 coupon today. (the water was 3.29 which I was going to get anyway).

BUDGET TIP

If you're going to buy this (or any other new Disney release, for that matter), you'll need to get it before the end of the week.

Reason being, all new releases have a low price point during "Week 1" (the first Tuesday-Saturday). From Sunday forward, the price usually goes up.

The combo price at Target is $26.99. I was at Wal-Mart and they want $29.99 for the combo pack. I had them price match Target and then used my coupon. :thumbsup2
I bought mine at our Walmart and the combo pack was $23.92 with the coupon-$13.92. The regular price was $29.99 though. This is the first time they've beat Target price wise (where I am anyway) on the Blu Ray combo packs in months.

Got mine at BJs today:
28.99-3.00=25.99 ($3 Instant savings)
25.99-8.00=17.99 (&8 in store coupon if you buy B&J Water)
17.99-10.00= 7.99 ($10.00 manufacture coupon)

So if you subtract the $3.39 from 7.99, the Blu-ray combo came out to $4.60. I know you had to buy the water for the $8 in store coupon, but I was going to buy it anways, so thats why I subtracted the last part:) so I think I got an AWESOME deal!!!!!

I got mine at BJ"s also, great deal on a movie and water that I was going to buy anyway.

Here's my deal - got my blu ray/dvd/digital set at The Disney Store here in Maryland. On sale for $26.99. Used $10 off coupon. Then got $10 GC for Disney Store and free Alice poster! Thought this was a great deal (in fact going back tonight to get another one).:goodvibes

Thanks! We did this today, got the movie (Blue-ray/DVD/digital copy) for $16.99+ tax, the $10 gift card and the poster. They also were having a Toy Story weekend so DD got some promo stuff (coloring pages/punch out paperdoll thingies) and Toy Story plushes were $10. They let us use the $10 gift card on a separate purchase so we got a stuffed Lotso and another item. For $20 we got the Alice set, a good-sized stuffed strawberry smelling Lotso, an Ariel cup for DD, the Alice poster and some Toy Story promo stuff. :thumbsup2

I think the posterboard in the store said the promotion was good for another few weeks, so you should be able to use the coupon until it expires 6/15.

Walmart tried to not take my coupon told me it was a fake. I calmly read to them their coupon policy and I was told they know the policy but were told not accept them. I kept going up the ladder until it was approved. It was slightly embarrasing to basically be called a thief

Costco was the absolute cheapest place we could find the entire Discovery Earth box set on Blu-Ray. Even Walmart.com wanted $15 more. We did an online search, and no one could come close.
I will however check some of the other places you have listed in the future. Thats why i like threads like this. You can learn from others. As far as paying more for Blu-ray, BRs almost always cost more. Even DVD vs BR reviews on the gamer sites say expect to pay near double for BR. At least on the newest movies or box sets.

If you buy the Blu Ray/DVD/digital copy combo the first week it comes out and use your coupon it is cheaper then the DVD or Blu Ray by themselves. I paid $13.92 for the Alice combo. The DVD would have cost me $16.99 and the the Blu Ray would have cost me $19.99 the first week. After the first week yes a Blu Ray will cost more. I buy all my combo packs the first week which is what I thnk the PP is talking about. Hence it is cheaper.

Many Thanks to the DIS member who posted that she got her movie at the Disney Store. I took my coupon to the Disney Store, got the $10 off... so I paid $16.99 for the Blue Ray/DVD/Digital Copy. They gave me an Alice movie poster and a $10 gift certificate on my next purchase (valid 6/1-6/30). I then turned around and got three tshirts- one for each of my grandkids, and only paid $2 out of pocket for those.

Meijer has the deluxe for $27.99 and you get $10 off if you buy 2 packs of Meijer batteries ($4.99 each). So, with coupon, got it for $17.99 plus 24 batteries.

I did this and added the Disney $10 off coupon and a coupon from Meijer for 10% off my total order final cost was $5.20!!!

Thanks for letting me share. DH just doesn't get it when I get excited about a deal like this. :confused3
