Best price on a Wii and games

We are thinking of getting a Wii as our family Christmas present. We are a household of only 2 adults but it looks like fun even though we don't have kids.

What is the best deal right now on the console & games? (I did see Toys R Us has buy 1 game get 1 1/2 off right now.)

What games would adults like? Some that look fun to me are the Wii Cheer, Gold's Gym, Resort, Hasbro game night, Active. My DBF will want some war game.

I think I saw that the Wii console was $199 at Walmart plus a $50 Walmart gift card. That's a great deal b/c then you could buy a game or 2 with the gift card.

As far as games adults would like.......

Mario Kart - Love this game! We played this all the time in the winter and nothing else. It never gets old.

Resort - I'm not really a fan. My DD got this for her b-day and I find it boring.

Wii Sports - Love this game. Bowling, Tennis, Golf. Resort is similar to Sports, but just with more games.

Wii Fit - do not recommend

Sports Active - Just got it last week. It is kicking my butt. Lots of squats. Much more of a workout than Wii Fit.

My DD has a few more kid games that we don't play.

We also have guitar hero, haven't played yet. We have Sonic & Mario Olympics, haven't played yet. We got these last year and I still haven't played them b/c I'm addicted to Mario Kart!

you can play up to 4, so it gets really fun!! gamestop sells their own brand of wheels that we really like for about 10 dollars, so we went ahead and got 3 more incase some one was over, and then we could all play.

you can play it without the remote, but its a little tough....i think the wheel is so much fun.... LOVE THIS GAME!

Do I need to buy the Wii motion plus? The hand held extra thingy

I am buying 2 games at Toys R Us (thanks Disneyandredsox). 1 of these is included in the sports resort game but I am wondering if I should pick up another one.

What is the difference between remotes andnunchuks?

you can play up to 4, so it gets really fun!! gamestop sells their own brand of wheels that we really like for about 10 dollars, so we went ahead and got 3 more incase some one was over, and then we could all play.

Although, I thought it was hard to play without the wheel so I would get the extra wheels. I also found it hard to play with 3 people. We have a 52 inch TV and it is so small to play 3 people compared to 4 people. Maybe it just takes getting used to, but we always try to play two people instead of 3 for that reason.

From what I have learned, you are going to need extra remotes to play simultaneously with others. I bougt 2 " wii play " at TRU today because they come with remotes, and I can sell the game at Gamestop...so it's a little cheaer than buying 2 remotes: $49.99+ $24.99 (1/2 off 2nd) instead of $39.99 each

Our family has both a xbox 360 and a wii, We love the wii fit and also Super mario sluggers. Call of Duty Games are excellent war games. We have had hours of fun bowling and darts. It is a must have!!

Also, we have a store called gamestop, you can buy two used games and get one free. they run these sales often. They warranty the games for 30 days used or new. Hope this helps

We love Mario Kart. We don't use the wheel though, we use the remote and nunchuck.

My kids love Wii Sports Resort. They love to fly the plane.
