best price for National rental in Nov?

The best I seem to be able to get are below:

p/u orlando airport Nov 5th 1:00am (thanks to Songs flight changes)
return Orlando airport Nov 13th 4pm
$369.31 that is with DH company codes.

anyone get anything better recently?
should I reserve now? Or is this really out of the ball park, and they will come down later?

Usually we don't stay this long. We usually pay about $220.-$250.

No sure what size car you were reserving. When I punched in your dates/times (I'm assuming that was really 1 am!?), I got $260.54 with priceless code and $312.64 without using National for an intermediate.

and got $109.77 with all taxes for 11/5-11/12. Every time I check now, the rates are much higher.

Not sure if they will drop as we get closer...I just went in June and my price dropped up until about 2 days out and we saved quite a bit just by checking and rebooking.

Wow, Janet, that's a great rate. We usually go in November (9-15 this year) and last year was our best rate, around $ 179 full size for the week. I just started booking/rebooking about 3 weeks ago, I started at $ 225 and it's since dropped to $190.79. I'd love it to go all the way down like yours.

before I had a place to stay or airline tickets. I knew we wanted to go but didn't know where we were staying and the airfare wasn't quite right, but I wanted to do something in planning so I started checking National. I had a full size and kept checking and the rates kept changing, so I rebooked and cancelled old ones. I actually booked the full size because I anticipated that I would be bringing my full sized stroller for my younger son. We ended up purchasing a high end umbrella stroller for him that takes up much less room and we were fine in an intermediate off the Aisle in June. Now when I try to see if I can get an intermediate for less, they are priced at almost 2 times what I'm paying for a full sized. So unless something changes, I guess we'll take the full and enjoy the extra space for the week.

Hi why not try priceline.com. You can offer your own bid. I did this the last time we went and got a cheap rate. I checked what all the sites were asking and bid lower .I got a great deal it's worth the try. Also check out Mousesavers.com I think they had a posting RE:minivan rentals. Good luck!

Right....and unless things have changed on Priceline lately, you may end up with a rental company that is offsite from the airport. Not a problem if you don't mind taking a shuttle to their site.

I'm looking for November too (3rd to 7th), and I can't find anything really inexpensive yet either. Last year we booked an intermediate for a 4-day weekend for only $70.xx. Hope we can get something close to that this year!

This will be the first time we have done it like this. I wanted
a full-size car for Dec 23-Jan3 and when I went on National's site with codes
and a $20.00 coupon the rate was $732.12! So, I went to the Dolphin Resort
location and from Dec 24-Jan3 my rate is $325.47. So, we will take the ME bus
and I will pick car up the next day. About $29.00 dollars a day not bad, and we
can leave it at MCO.
