Best price car rental?

Would like to rent a car to drive from MCO to the port. Anyone know of a code or some other form of discount, especially for Budget?

We used the coupon from the Entertainment Book.

I used the discount code from BJ's warehouse club. There are a lot of places you can find codes, frequent flier programs, AAA, some insurance companies, some credit card companies. You would be surprised when they turn up with a little looking.

They have rental car codes and I just used one for the repo cruise...picking up a car at Budget at the port the day we get off the ship and returning it later that night at MCO. $53.00 for a premium car including all taxes.

I booked at budget.com and used the mousesavers code for Shaw's supermarkets in New England....mousesavers said you need to have a Shaw's discount card. I signed up for the Shaw's card after I booked the car at the Budget rental site!!! The Shaw's code yielded the best price. Anyone in the U.S. or Canada can have a Shaw's discount card....even if you do not live in New England and it does not cost anything to apply for one...it is not a credit card but just a supermarket discount card!! www.shaws.com

I booked with Budget for a rental from June 15th to June 16th for an ecomony car (there are just two of us) for $20.99. When we get off the cruise on the 19th, I booked another rental and the cost was $37.99 for the day. Budget was the cheapest I found.

We, too, used the mousesavers.com site. I noted all the codes that were available, then went to the rental car websites and plugged in each applicable code to see what it would cost. We paid $175 (taxes and fees included) for a mid-size car through Budget but were given a mini-van when we checked in! One tip I found very useful - I signed up for Budget's fastbreak program while I was on their site. I wasn't really sure what it would get me, but it said something about making the pickup process faster, and it was free. When we got to MCO, there were 25-30 people in line at the Budget counter, and it would have taken forever. Our fastbreak card let us go directly to the Budget kiosk in the parking garage, where we were given the keys to our mini-van in a matter of seconds. I assume that most car rental companies have something similar, and it's worth signing up for it just for that.

We found a code on mousesavers.com and paid about $22 for a one-day rental from MCO to Port. This was for a compact car.
