We will be at Disneyland 2 nights, we want a hotel with water slides. I just can't afford the DLH this time or even the PPH. Does any other hotel have waterslides? My grandkids are 13 and 15. We love the old Sheraton and Anaheim hilton and towers but their pools are kind of blah. HOJO is really more for the younger set. Any advice?

I've never stayed at HoJo's but they have a pretty nice water feature area with their pool setup.

True, but it is really for little kids, no waterslide or anything. Well they have one but it is for 3 year old types. We stayed when the grandkids were little and they loved it. They are big now and want more excitement.

When are you going? There is a new Courtyard Marriott opening right across the street with a huge water park, including slides. It is scheduled to open in August. Other than the Disney hotels and Hojo, I don't know of any other hotels in the area with water slides.

Other than the new Courtyard, and the HoJo, none of the other hotels/motels have waterslides ... period. Only the DL resort.

There's a new Great Wolf Lodge opening near Disneyland early 2016 (not sure when your trip is). It's basically a giant indoor water park, but if the prices at their other locations are anything to go by, the one near DL will probably be almost as expensive as staying at a Disney property so it may not be an option for you this trip. But it could be something to keep in mind for future visits!

We are going mid August so maybe the hotel will be open then. Thanks!

So I just did some playing with check in dates and I didnt find anything avaliable untill mid OCT. MY guess is that with all the hype over the new property, the location and the 60th going on the chances of Aug rezzies will be slim to none, with Slim having already left town. Good luck.

Interesting that the price point on this hotel is not much different then PP, it is by no means a bargin priced property.

If you are going mid-August this year, the new Courtyard will not be open yet (unless they finish early). Right now, the expected opening date is Aug 25.

If I remember correctly, the Hilton over by the Convention Center has a waterslide. I know my kids were pretty little when they went on it, so I'm not sure the "thrill" level of it.

They opened reservations up from Sept. 25th (I think) on, I assume to give them wiggle room in case the project is delayed again.

Yes they aren't taking reservations yet for August and early September in case they aren't ready to open. I also heard that their prices will be high, $250 and up, so it will end up being the same as PPH, although this water park will be better than PPH's!

Pretty sure Hilton doesn't have slides. I may bite the bullet and stay at PP. Next year I'll try the new Courtyard. Thanks for your help.

What about a split stay? I know it's not ideal, especially only being there two nights but if you could swing one night at DLH and one night at a bargain place then you could have two days using the DLH pools. You would get to use them the day you check in, even if your room isn't ready yet, and all day the day you check out. You would get EMH those two days as well!

I have indeed thought of that. Start our stay at DLH and then the last night stay somewhere cheap just to sleep and not have to drive back to San Diego.

I just googled the Hilton because maybe I wasn't remembering right - it does in fact have a slide, but it's in a separate area next to the pool. It does like it's similar to the Hojo, so probably still not right for what you're looking for, but in case anybody else is interested.
