:)Hi Folks,

I am thinking about heading to WDW in October solo for the first time and I wanted to get your opinion as to what the best pool would be.
Every time that I have been to WDW, it has been with kids so I'm looking for a different kind of pool/vacation.

I am looking for a pool that is a bit quiet and relaxing so that I can read a book and soak up the sun.

Thanks for all your help!

The most relaxing resort to me is Animal Kingdom Lodge (either side. . .Kidani or Jambo house). Many out of the way areas, quiet hot tub locations, just very tranquil, despite the kid factor. . .I loved my stay and spent many hours soaking up the sun there. . .so much so that I am going back again this summer.

you are going to get kids at most of the places.

might go for OKW or POR - they both have quiet (community) pools - that are generally quieter than the main pool.

I really enjoyed the hot tub at French Quarter in October. Since they have a themed pool that was usually crowded but I spent almost an entire day at the hot tub one early afternoon when I got back from AK while waiting for friends to arrive. I would jump in & out, people would come & go.It was just very relaxing chatting with other guests and reading when no one else was there.
Boardwalk also has a nice quiet pool & hot tub, didn't spend much time at that one though.

I spent the weekend at the Dolphin solo. Pool area was pretty nice, with lots of room to find a chair, a nice little dining area, hot tub, shady areas, etc. Some kids to be sure, but it seemed to be to be a little more of an adult vibe. Not adult as in Hedonism III adult, but more grown-up than some of the other on-property pools that I've experienced

I enjoyed Stormalong Bay on my last solo trip, but it did start to get crowded later in the afternoon.

I also liked the POR pool area, especially the chairs closest to the bar area - it was nice and quiet when I was there.

I like the Beach Club or Wilderness Lodge. The plus side for the Beach Club is that there is a beach with lounge chairs you can sit and relax on the lake and it's away from the pool. The same goes for the Wilderness Lodge. The other plus for the lodge is that there is 2 pools and the one with the villas tends to be less crowded.
