Best pool besides SAB and worst pool

I think BLT has the worst pool....way too small for the size of the resort and gets way too crowded - imagine swimming in a bowl of people soup! I think the pool at POFQ is great, but kids older than 6 may not be too impressed.

Love the pools at Y/BC , SSR and Kidani.

I know people hate the clown pool/slide at BWV but my kids absolutely love it! And I love the atmosphere as well. I guess that makes us weird ;)

Is the POFQ pool really shallow or small? People always say it is good for little kids only. The pictures of it look nice though.

blt love despite its size. what I don't like is the excess security here.

bwv - one of the ones who dislikes that clown. stay there in a room overlooking the pool about 5 times - then the nightmares started...:rolleyes1

now the quiet pool at BWV love it!!!

actually like all the pools at Disney these days even the value resorts and FW - they all have something Disney.

now older kids (say 13 year olds to 21) probably would not like the POFQ - it was designed for little ones (who love it)

even like the non-disney pools - d&s

no it is at least 4' - if not 5'.

lots of teens would not like their pictures shown to their friends in such a baby pool.....or that was I got told.

it is definitely cute. It is the only slide on Disney property that the lifeguards allow you to hold your kids (at least they did) - the slide is pretty slow. think at the slide exit it is 3' might be less.

Of course SAB is our favorite, but our second favorite is the GF pools. The themed pool has a fun slide and the quiet pool is huge.

We like the Poly Volcano slide too but that pool gets a little too crowded for us.

Clown Pool - Think Stephen King's "IT"!

I've never stayed there but I've always heard that CSR has the best moderate pool.

Thanks! Would 7, 8, and 9 year olds like it? Or just 6 and under? How about adults who dont care about slides?

We loved the pool and slide at CSR.

The pool is big, the slide is fairly long and fun, and the Mayan temple theming is outstanding. All of us (kids and adults alike) had a great time. :thumbsup2

The kids also loved the themed playground there (next to the pool). At the time my boys were a little old to be into playgrounds much anymore, but the theming was just too tempting for them and it sucked them in - haha. They had a lot of fun. :)

if you are talking girls - they would love it! It was designed for them.

if you are talking boys - maybe. that say it is a sister resort to POR - so if your boys get bored with FQ then it is fairly short walk to POR and their pool - which was designed for boys that age.

well if the adults like a fast slide - they probably won't go for it. if they don't care about slides at all - they will love it. it is a cute pool.

For natural beauty, the WL's pool can't be beat, although most all of the deluxe pools are pretty nice (except one). For moderate pools, the CSR's pool is pretty spectacular. It has an excellent slide, playground/recreation area and arcade all in one spot, as well as a kiddie pool. POR's pool is nice if you want a lot of shaded areas.
The Worst pool in all of WDW is the Evil Clown Pool at BWI. I don't think it was designed by a Disney Imagineer; I think it was designed by someone named Stephen King. Have you seen the movie, 'IT'? I rest my case..... :scared: :rotfl2:

Unfortunately, the no longer let you hold your child on the slide, but you can get life jacket rentals free of charge from the gift shop for the length of your stay. It worked for us for our 2 year old. We really liked the POFQ pool.

CSR has the best moderate pool for elementary and older kids. CBR has zero entry and a great splash area for young kids (preschool - the splash area has a height limit of 48 inches). My DD12 ranks the CSR pool second only to Stormalong Bay.

For deluxes, we enjoyed the Kidani pool, although my kids still liked CSR better. We are staying at BWV in a couple of months, so we'll see if the clown pool knocks off the CSR pool. :goodvibes

The Poly pool has a great setting, but it is too small for the resort and my kids didn't love the slide. We didn't care much for the OKW pool, and the pools at BLT and Contemporary seem kind of boring.

We moved to to the Poly from CSR back in 2006 and although we love the Poly and the Volcano slide is pretty good the kids still agree that the pool at CSR was better.

The volcano pool at the Poly is our favorite, which we even like better than SAB at the BC. But as far as the worst pool.....out of all of the resorts we've stayed at, we haven't been disappointed in any of the pools. There are some we like more than others, but we haven't experienced any pool that we wouldn't return to.

Besides SAB, we love the pool at OKW. It is right by the HH and has easy access to the basketball court, tennis court and playground.

While I think the Contemporary's pool is pretty boring (although, my kids seemed to prefer it), Boardwalk has the most terrifying pool! I'm not overly fearful of clowns, but that thing is downright scary to me.

After SAB - Grotto pool at the Dolphin -> description from allears "The Grotto is a 3-acre water playground complete with waterfalls, slides, water volleyball, and hot tubs. Tropical foliage surrounds the Grotto area, and the white sand beach nearby make it a perfect place to relax or have fun. DJ's are on hand to help keep the area lively and fun by playing great music and starting group games. A kiddie pool is near the Grotto for the little guys. Pool toys are also available for rent."

WL pool :scared1: - too many people from the WL and the WL DVC, plus ducks swim it, guests swim 24/7 - so we had a pool view room - noise on our balcony from the pool 24/7 - unless we wanted to be pool peepers - not! - the WL pool is too small for the amount of guests at the resort and DVC.

Aside from Stormalong Bay, I think the pool at the Dig Site pool CSR is the best on property. :thumbsup2

The worst pool by far is at Shades of Green, the military hotel.

Best OKW
worst BLT
too small for hotel WL
good for what you paid for ASMo, ASMu

OKW is great overall..I loved this place
