Best Point and Shoot for 200.00?

I'm looking for a camera that takes better pictures than my kodak easy share c533. Any suggestions? My camera is only a year old but I don't care for the pictures all that much. Do they make them without delays? Sorry to sound dumb but I'm not a camera expert at all.
Any suggestions I would like to get a new camera before our trip.

can you post some pics that you are not satisfied with.

certain scenes can't be done much better with a $1000 worth of equipment.
