Best plan to view Illuminations after Wishes on July 4th ?

Is this possible ? Do we simply not have enough time ?
We will be probably viewing Wishes from the Contemp. at 9:00
We will be travelling by car & would like to know where to view Illuminations outside of the park at 10:00 outside of the park.

We will be having dinner at Ohana and viewing wish from the Poly beach. We too have our car. We will be heading to our resort BCV and walk over to epcot. I am sure we will be cutting it close and probably will come across huge crowds. Good luck!

There is no where outside the park to view IllumiNations. You can go to the Boardwalk or to the Y&B to see the high aerial fireworks, but you won't be able to see any of the stuff on the lagoon itself or any of the pavilions. And, depending on wind direction, you may not be able to hear the music.

The BEST plan to view Illuminations after Wishes on July 4 would be to see Illuminations on July 5.

There are multiple problems with doing both in one night.
-- Everybody and their cousin will have the same idea.
-- Just getting to your car will be a struggle. Both the monorail and the ferry will be crowded. You might do better with the ferry, but that's just a guess.
-- If you have a park hopper pass or annual pass you can get into Epcot without additional charge, but the lines may be long.
-- Even if you make it on time, it is unlikely you will be able to find an unobstructed view.

But whatever you do, don't miss Wishes!! This is a show you really have to be in the park for!
