We're going to WDW in a couple of weeks and was wondering where the best places are to trade pins? Downtown Disney? One of the parks? etc..

I've traded in Downtown Disney before, but haven't tried the parks yet. For me I've almost always traded with cast members - it's a little easier :goodvibes - but be careful because some of the traders aren't very fair... at least thats what I've heard.

DTD Marketplace, Epcot Pin Traders, Main Street Jewlery Shop, Frontierland Trading Post, and the Epcot Countries are my favorite places.

We just got back about three weeks ago. We thought we did the best trading in DTD. Just seemed to be less stress there. I have found it is difficult to get some to stop at the parks so you can look at their pins, they seem to be very busy and in a hurry. Of course it could be that I am just not aggresive enough as well. I am a bit shy. Things seemed to be much more laid back at DTD.

are you talking about trading with cast members or with other guests? I don't trade with other guests, only cast members and so the parks were great! The best place when we went was the character breakfast at Animal Kingdom... there were 4 CMs at the desk with lanyards, and we probably passed 5 more on the way to the table.
My mom (who finds pin trading an annoyance because it makes the kids stop between point A and Point B) still refers to the breakfast as "when we had to walk the gauntlet":rotfl2:

In March, we had the best luck with pins at HS. It was after 4pm. One line of thinking was to get to the parks early and start pin trading with CMs right away, when their laynards are fresh. I don't know if that line of thinking benefited us much. The traders outside Pin Trader at DTD vary. Some are fair to deal with and others are known as sharks. After talking with some of the fair traders, they told us who the sharks were and not to trade with them.

I go to Down Town Disney they have alot of Cast Members in one spot and usually a lot of Pin Traders at the Pin Station Tables.

Inside of World of Disney where they have the Jewelry + Pins room there is a set of Double Doors next to a Penny Press where all Cast Members, and Managers walk through every min its a great place to trade. Watch out for the doors though. They also have a Pin Trading Station by the Pin Wall in the same room.

Also every Customer Service will have a Pin Book and I believe some of the Pin Carts have Pin Boards.

We try to go every week Pin Trade & Ride Merry Go Round try the Tea Cup its a Blast.
