Going in June and going to do the dining plan. We are a party of 4, ME, DW, DD 13 & DD 10. We like to eat dinner early so we would more often than not will want breakfast or an early lunch. Then we will snack and then eat dinner so we aren't a 3 meal a day family.
What are some suggestions on where to get the most out of our CS credits?

BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK!!!

Thanks, YO

If Tusker House at Animal Kingdom is counter service, then I would use them there.

I'd also say:

Pecos Bills at the Magic Kingdom - great fixins bar for your burgers!
Tangeriene Cafe in Morocco at Epcot.
Mara at Animal Kingdom Lodge - TONS of great and unique choices.

Hope this helps!

Cosmic Rays-ton of food- MK
Mexico-Fastfood place-Epcot
Your hotel food court?

I second Cosmic Rays...my husband and I split the chicken/ribs combo the 2 times we went to MK on our August trip. We had 6 CS meals left over on our last day (the others leftover credits from when we did 2 breakfast TS meals and were too full to use our CS credits those days) and we got sandwiches and salads from Earl of Sandwich at DTD for the plane ride.
Cosmic Rays has tons of choices and is our favorite. We'll be there in 34 days!

Best bang for the buck - Pepper Market at Coronado Springs, and the fast food at Morocco.

 Hello...our favorites are Tusker House in AK, Pecos Bills in MK and the POR food court.

Terri C- tell me more about the POR CS stuff. What is breakfast like?

Thanks for the info on the other places

AK-Tusker House
Epcot-Mexico & Morocco
MK-Cosmic Rays & Pecos Bill

What about MGM? Anyone have any suggestions? Or additions to the above?
Thanks, YO

Port Orleans has a decent food court, but it isn't as good as Coronado Springs (which includes Ribeyes as part of the counter service menu). Also chicken fajitas, bourbon chicken, etc.

my favorite cs meal by far was at the tangerine cafe in morroco. :wizard:

I love Tangerine Cafe! And it really is one of the more bang-for the buck restaurants, you could probably do nearly $15.00 in counter service there (with Coronado, it can be as much as $25.00 or so total). Morocco is terrific!

We used over 50% of our CS credits at Earl of Sandwich. Their food is SO GOOD and the choices wonderful. It is @ DTD and well worth the 5 min drive or 10 min boat trip!

You might want to check out the menus at Deb's site. http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menus.htm
I think the most important consideration would be that you eat where you and your family will enjoy the food. You may get great bang for the DP buck at Tangierine Cafe, but if your family doesn't like the food that you get, there isn't much value there for you.

I haven't read any complaints that families didn't get enough food on the DP. So, for what it's worth, my advice would be to worry less about the price tag of the food and look for what really appeals to you and your family. Maybe even let your DDs look at the menus and pick a CS place that they would like to try. My DD7 loves purusing the menus!

Wherever you decide to eat, enjoy!

The Sunshine Season Food Fair at The Land pavillion in EPCOT has amazing fresh and good choices, we used our CS credits there and it was wonderful.

We also love the Columbia Harbor house at the Magic Kingdom for chicken strips/fish and chips.

The original poster had asked for best bang for the buck - but I do agree with checking Debs. I was only posting the higher dollar counter service restaurants. One of my favorite places is Earl of Sandwich, but I never used my counter service credits there because it wasn't as good a deal as elsewhere (but then again, I live down here and go to Earl for a smoothie or something every couple of weeks). The Pop Century also can be a higher dollar place, but the Earl has sandwiches for only $5.00 - it is reasonable already.

Pecoa Bill's or Cosmic Ray's for lunch and we really enjoyed the POR food court for breakfast. At any of these, you can serve a family of 4 with 2 credits.
