Best places to stand for the Xmas parades?

This will be my first time at Disneyland for Holiday and I wanted to know if any of you seasoned vets know the tricks of the trade for the shows during this time, I know I've heard about the great trick for Fantasmic.

Are there any cool tricks or places to be for the Christmas Parade, when it snows, the firework show, or the Electrical Light Parade (which I haven't seen in almost a decade). Am I leaving any shows out? Thank you in advance for any hints.
