Are any of the rides at US/IOA much better if you sit in the front (or back) or in any other particular seat? e.g. on Jaws, is there a particular side of the boat which is better?

The reason I ask is that there is a ride at a theme park in England (Nemesis at Alton Towers) and if you sit anywhere but the front, its an average ride, but sit at the front and its absolutely incredible! You usually have to que a bit longer but its well worth it! :yay:

Over to the experts....

On Jaws, i Believe it's the 4th row that gets you soaked. last year Ds was on that row and got off the ride drenched. The rows go all the way across, so I woul suggest geting in the middle of the row(OR thats what I like:goodvibes ). I think JAWS comes up on he right side once, and the left two times.

The front row on the ICE side of Dueling Dragons and the last row of the Fire side. Both first and last row of the Hulk.

it is row 5 that is the drench seat on jaws.

i prefer to sit on the left side of the boat for the special effects you get when you leave the enclosed area and for the sites before you disembark the ride.

not going to say what the sites are in case you haven't been on this ride yet.

for mib, i like the right side bottom row.
i do not like any middle seats due to view obstructions for me.
i'm not a tall person.

for mummy, i like the ends of the front row or back row.

for shrek, i sit in about the 4th row from the front in the middle.
i have friends that tell me it is best viewed from the back of the theater.

again, i am only 5' 3" and can't see over tall people in front of me. main reason i sit up front.

for jimmy neutron, i prefer the far end aisle section for the ride.
better total view for me.

hulk, front row, baby.......back row is held for larger needs people.
if you sit there and not large, you are sometimes moved to another seat away from the last row.

dr doom, end seat only and room 3 or 4 as they face the park.

for spidey, i change around for the effects.
front row as no heads in front of me and i can get immersed in the ride itself.
also, in parts of the ride, it appears that the jackhammer is really on the front of the car you are in. special effects more lively.

back row is great too on spidey. different type of thrill.

river adventure....anywhere but the back row. i duck down or move to the side and the water goes over my head and hits the person behind me.

i kill myself on that ride.....

horror make up show, the first or second row in the middle for a better view of the actors and audience volunteer for facial expressions.

animal planet. up front middle section so i can see the cat in the beginning of the show.
second choice in the middle area of middle section to see the bird that is featured in the act.

there are more favorites for me, do you want more?

red fish blue fish, sit on the outside so you can control not getting wet.
if you have a kid with you or an adult that doesn't pay attention to the song, you will get squirted and wet.............

listen to the song where it lists red fish up up up or the blue fish down down down.
do what the song says and you will not get squirted by the fish.

for sinbad, yes, this show is good to try once, sit on the right side middle of the theatre about 8 rows up from the ground row. sit all the way to the left even with the platform. you will see a lot of action there from the actors.

twister: after the pre show if you stand in the front row, you are likely to get wet if you are standing in the middle of the 1st row.
back row, no problem.
special effects will hit the crowds in the middle front rows only.
i do this show twice and do right side then left side front row at least twice during my trip. you get a different view of the action of the twister then.
you will notice different things each time.

front seats at shrek and jimmy neutron are stationary seats, no movement at all in case you have issues with movement or lap kids with you.

et: better view if you take the front row of the bike for the ride.
if you do not get front row, ask tm to have you wait for next bike.

or if you want back row, sit on the outersides.

i do this ride twice. i do front left side and on the repeat ride right side.
you will not get to see all of it if you sit on the ends so that is why i do it twice for the total outlook of the scenes.

terminator, i think the middle is the best viewing area.
if you are smack dab near the front, you miss the action on the sides. you have to turn sideways to catch it. even the aisle between middle and back is good, but better view of the actors on the stage in the middle section.

try to sit in the middle of the aisle. if not sit about 10 seats from the end towards the exit aisle.

forgot to say, after shrek, hang around on the side of the building and watch the photo shot with donkey, shrek and fiona. listen to them.
the donkey is a hoot. those actors have a quick wit about them!

there is more, still want it?

remember, these are my opinions. not everyone will agree with me.
if you are tall, looking over heads will not be an issue for you.

i do repeat rides on every trip. i always find something from sitting at a different angle to enjoy each time.
what i have listed for the shows holds firm for everyone though.
middle up front usually has its advantages.
all the actors/performers have mikes so you will have no problem hearing them from anywhere you sit. if you want to see more detail of the people and sets, the closer to the front the better.

hey macraven: you are a madman. keep going. where to sit in the limo on the way to my hotel? where to sit on the boat from portofino to the parks? and of course, where to sit when i want the attention of the bartender at my corner bar? i need answers.

Oh! I know that one! The seats in front of the boat driver. That goes for all of the Loews hotels!

I don't reall have a reference, except for a few.

MIB I prefer, the top row on the left, get better scores on that side.

ROTM is always front row, outside.

Hulk, front row middle.

Dr.Doom i the middle, Ds took a pic while at the top of the ride, turned out pretty good, great view of everything

Dh made sure he done the exact opposite of what the song says,to make sure our daughter who was 3 at the time got wet-bad daddy:rotfl2: .

Macraven you hold a wealth of knowledge :worship: .x.

On the Mummy, i prefer any of the ouside seats on the back row

totally agree!!!! You get lots of airtime. We usually get in the single rider line, meaning you mostly end up in an outside seat. we have done it 15 times on one day in the past doing single riders.

Also, if Spiderman is very busy, use the single line, you get on pretty quick.:rainbow:

Forgot to mention MIB - if you do the single rider line you can do the ride in 5mins! We will just spend an hour or more just going around and around.

BUT - if it is your first go, so the ordinary line as you miss out on a lot of stuff.:rainbow:
