Is there a list of reviews of the various companies that do dvc resales? I am not sure how to choose. Are some better than others?

The DIS Advertisers sticky at the top of this forum has a list of resale brokers.

I used DVC Resale Market for my recent resale purchase that is currently waiting for estoppel. Their communication has been excellent and they are very quick to respond. I do like the way their website is organized over others. It makes it very easy to search for a specific resort, use year, point count.

I second DVC resale market. If we were to buy again I would happily use them. I am in the process of buying a 2nd contract through another company and it has been painful and frustrating. DVC resale market was quick, my agent was wonderful, and they clearly communicated with us every step of the way.

"Best" is a relative term.

Most responsive?
Has the most listings?
Most willing to bargain?
Best prices for a buyer?
Used most often?
Has a relationship with DVD?
Sell most quickly?
Sells at the highest/lowest price?
Has been in the resale market longest?

Define "best".

We went with best prices for a buyer and most willing to negotiate downwards. They weren't responsive nor had the most listings..but at the end of the day, we have our points!

One of the main ones that has the best contract for you. I would not disregard the broker, but it would only be a potential tie breaker between two equal contracts.

DVC resale market. Broker has been wonderful.
Used another broker ....who put sellers interests first....deal breaker....also high pressure.
it is important to me to have trust in my broker and no that my interests are being protected.

I'm using them also I have to agree they are excellent and I also like the ease of use of the website
I'm waiting for estoppel also

Another vote for DVC Resale Market, just closed a contract with them and the process was pretty straight forward. I liked their search engine very much. That said, go with whomever has the contract you want and the price you're willing to pay. Inventory trumps everything else as far as I'm concerned.

Just went through 2 different brokers for 2 different contracts. Both have been great.

I recently went through the resale process. I ended up using the company that had the contract I wanted. One thing to consider is the title company. Some seem to move things along quicker than others.

I looked at 4 different brokers and found the contract I wanted. I did make sure they had good reviews on one of several DVC boards. In the end, we used DVC Magic Resales and were very happy with them. I kept looking a TSS, but they just didn't have the contract I wanted.

I wish dvc resale market had a contract that I liked . In the end I found a contract I liked on a site not Listed here . I would feel better if it was a site recommended by the dis but I couldn't wait much longer . Good luck

I haven't finished the process yet (just went into ROFR), but we went through DVC Resale Market - they've been great so far. Super responsive and as fair as they can be to the buyer. We went in at $10/pt below the asking price and DVC Resale Market negotiated the seller down without coming back to us with a counter. After that, it only took two days to get into ROFR.

I agree on the contract front, but don't just focus on the asking price/point. Contract structure (use year and points load) is probably the most important, but price is always negotiable - in case you see listings at DVC Resale Market that are $5/point more, don't ignore them for that reason only.
