Best places to buy costumes for TOT party

We are arriving at Anaheim on 15th Oct from the UK. I am looking for info on the best places to look for costumes for TOT party which we are going to on the 16th. I have looked on disneystore website but was wondering where else we could go and look. We are non drivers so it would need to be somewhere that is easily accessible by public transport. I am looking for something for my DS who is 13 and maybe me and OH but so long as DS has something to wear I will be happy. Any help would be much appreciated also a rough idea of prices expected to pay would be appreciated too.

This could be very tricky. A costume for a 13 year old boy isn't something that's overly available in the first place - at least not a Disney costume. There is a Target Store on Harbor Blvd south of DL - which is about 1.3 miles, so walkable - and you could probably take one of the Anaheim Resort Shuttles ($4 a day pass ) to the Marriot which is across the street from it- they will have costumes, but again, a 13 year boy is a tricky one.
The stores at the Block of Orange may have something.

I think I'd stick with the disney store or so my own! A cape is pretty easy to find - you can turn him into Anakin Skywalker with a brown cape, some dark khakis, boots, and a vest/dark shirt.

Thanks Icasa. I did show him one online from disneystore of Captain hook that he was interested in. I will make a note of looking in Target when we arrive. For disney stores is downtown disney the best place to look or are there any other disney stores that can be got to quite easily using public transport.
Making my own is not easy to do as I am hopeless at anything like that. I have looked online to buy before I travel but everywhere I have looked child ages go up to age 10 and then they skip to adult sizes here in the UK. It's as if over here they think that teens wont be interested in dressing up.

Thanks Grumpys fan that looks a great site. How do you go about having it delivered to the hotel though? Would I have to email them first to check that it would be ok to do so. The day we are going to TOT is the day after we arrive. It is a pity that I couldn't have had it delivered to the UK but it is $37 for delivery charges which is more than what the costume would cost.

I would just call the hotel and ask if you could have a small package delivered before your arrival. I don't know what hotel you are staying at but if its one that lots of Dis'ers stay at, like Hojo, then maybe you could find out if another Dis'er is at the hotel at the same time you are and maybe they could have it delivered to their room until you get there.

Most hotels are fine having packages delivered there, just give them some advance notice and remember to ask for it when you check in. I've had packages delivered to the HoJo, they held it for 3 days.

Thanks Grumpys fan and pixiewings 71 I may do that but am still a bit undecided. I am a bit worried that the costume may not fit him whereas if I was to have a look at the target store and the disney store at least then I should hopefully be able to get something to fit him. I have been looking for something to do with Stitch as he is a big stitch fan. He has the stitch hat and claws from when we went to WDW and also has a long sleeved stitch basketball top. I have been browsing the web for stitch ideas and may be able to have a go at making the alien outfit. I have also been browsing Target online for ideas as to what they sell. I will also be keeping an eye on my local shops in case they get anything in that would be suitable.

Stitch could be done with blue sweats, if you're crafty you can sew on the darker blue "slashes" that Stitch has. Add the hat & claws and you are good.

Do any of the locals know of a Spirit or Similar in the area? These are the temp halloween shops.
