Best place to WATCH parasailing on Castaway Cay?

Since my son will be old enough this year, I booked myself and him for parasailing on Castaway Cay and really look forward to it! Hoping to do it in tandem, is that always allowed as long as we're within the weight limit?

Anyway my main question is this - since the grandparents are not joining us on the parasailing, is there an easy spot on one of the beaches where they can see us (and we see them from way up there)?

I think by far the best place to watch is from the ship - especially if it backs in.

But, if you have to watch it from ashore, the closer to the parasailing hut the better (but you can't get very close if you're on the beach).

I agree with over50visits, the best place is from the top deck (ship dependent for the deck number) from the bow.

We've done the parasailing 3 different times at Castaway Cay, and in all them, we were in different locations. The last time we were no where near the family beach - actually on the other side of the ship so the only view would have been from the top deck. The more boats they have doing the parasailing, the harder it will be to determine where you will be.

Thanks ALL! I found some GoPro videos on YouTube showing the parasailing experience on CC, and yeah it seems very far from the beaches and maybe even from the ship. Better knowing now than to be disappointed.

On the other hand, does anyone know if a child would go in front (like in AquaDuck) or in the back for parasailing, when going in tandem with an adult? Can the two people hear each other talking while in the air? We've never done anything like this before, so just trying to make sure my kid won't freak out...

When we did it, my son who is taller and weighs more than my wife was in back, I was behind daughter when we rode together. You can hear everything, it's so quiet up there.

Just a pointer if you wear glasses or sunglasses, our driver was very strict on making sure we had a string to keep our sunglasses attached to our necks, he wouldn't let me wear my sunglasses. Also, not trying to be a downer but since you want to be prepared, there's a chance it can be canceled because of high winds. I hope it doesn't because it's an experience like no other!!
