Anyone have a great secret spot they like to be for the castle fireworks? How early to stake out the seats?

No secret here, but my favorite is anywhere infront of the castle where you have a good view. To get a seat infront of the castle you may have to sit there for a good hour or 2 before the show, but if you have a decent sized party you can swap up who sits and saves seats and who runs around to get drinks go on rides etc.

I concur. They are probably best viewed in front of the castle. A close second would be around the lake (facing the castle). Of course, you'd have to deal with the Fantasmic crowd too (unless you want to watch both).

You'll also need to camp out at least an hour before hand. We got lucky last time and found a spot to stand in the area in front of the castle about 20 minutes to show time.

The fireworks are awesome, especially with the choreographed music,

Ok first absolutely in front of the castle-the best ever and yes you need to camp out for at least an hour if not more. Be adviced that 20 minutes before the fireworks start they make everyone stand up and remain standing until after the show is over. still have no clue why they do this but if you have a child in a stroller or with someone in a wheelchair they will have virtually no view at all. Thye do have sitting only areas off to the side of the castle and they are not quite as good as the front if you don't want to or can't stand for 40 minutes it might be a good second option.

Another right in front of the castle! We don't stake out for hours. We show up maybe 45 minutes before and find a spot pretty easily. But there is just 3 of us, so that helps!

I liked being BEHIND the castle . . . one of the coolest places we have watched fireworks is near the exit to the teacups, near the Alice ride. You can watch Tink take off from the Matterhorn. My kids liked that.

This past weekend,we watched them from Small World and from in front of the castle. Maybe I'm just getting crabby, but I prefer stepping on to Main Street near Coke Corner or the Candy Palace about 10 minutes before the show starts and having a fine view! Not too crowded and not a long wait!

You can actually see more of the fireworks from just a little way down Main Street. Snow is better there too for holiday fireworks. I know if you watch at Small World they project things on the front of it. But, ultimately, the show is designed to be seen from in front of the castle.

Another vote for Main street. I enjoyed being able to have a big long view of the castle looking down Main Street with the fireworks above it. Very Nice.:)
